Our poor Anima weapons.

We haven't even finished them yet and already there's talk about "the next relic/anima".

Our anima is a sentient cognisant being. But once we finish it, it's gonna spend the rest of its life in a box, or be thrown to the ground and watch as we turn our back and walk away. Or best case scenario for the poor creature we'll murder it and use its body for parts in the new relic quest.

Why did we make these poor tragic weapons? ;_;

Well we don't know what's going to happen, there's still a couple more steps most likely in the anima line to develop the story.

If all else though I wouldn't be surprised if SE did start a completely new relic/anima quest line for 4.0, sooooo there is the high probability that we might store our anima buddy away forever.

And also, maybe it'll be a case of Zodiac and Anima where we can trade it away for stuff to help with making it's replacement, then get a replica looking it like.

To be fair, we basically turned our sentient Zodiac Zeta weapons into nodules for use in our anima, so it sort of lives on through the anima. Maybe we'll just do the same for the 4.0 weapon?

Maybe too many resources, but I would be totally okay if they made two separate questlines (dialogue really not content) and in one its a new weapon but in another if you turn in your weapon the sentience/personality carries over and you get snippets of dialogue interaction etc to show that our little friend is alive, well and excited for his/her new body/journey D:

Honestly, I think the Anima spirit is too detailed to not use it in some way later. I expect in the final step, we'll get it as a minion, along with the completed weapon.

I really wouldn't be surprised if in the end, our Anima would go:"Well, I'm so strong now, no longer need that vessel! I'll still help you because you made me, tho."

Or, the new questline starts with:"A/YOUR Anima is dying (depending on your Status) and the only way to save it is to create a new vessel. Pick between revamping the existing vessel or creating a new one with the following grind."

You mean how we just destroyed them alongside accompanied stats to just start over anew? They don't live on at all. You used them as a catalyst.
