Has to be Rhalgr.
Has to be Rhalgr.
But, he's a god? Much like Nophica or Halone? I can imagine the Spire as being a possible raid environment, but I doubt we'll be having any direct confrontations with the twelve.

Concerning Rhalgr, only proceed if you have done the story or are not afraid of spoilers:But, he's a god? Much like Nophica or Halone? I can imagine the Spire as being a possible raid environment, but I doubt we'll be having any direct confrontations with the twelve.

[spoiler]The resistance was under suspicion to summon Rhalgr multiple times already so the thought of him beeing a Primal in the expansion is ot far fetched at all, I would even go so far to say that he will be the first primal we are facing[/spoiler]
Edit: ok for some reason I'm to stupid to use the BB code for spoilers (every other code seems to work for me...) so I just colored it as unreadable as i could...

I have a reply to this, but spoilers:But, he's a god? Much like Nophica or Halone? I can imagine the Spire as being a possible raid environment, but I doubt we'll be having any direct confrontations with the twelve.

Keep in mind that, to the beast tribes, what we call primals are gods. Further, even a non-deific being, King Thordan could become a primal, so it stands to reason that Rhalgr, or any of the twelve for that matter, could also be conjured as a primal.

Ultimately, faith + aether + need is all it take to summon a Primal. The 12 can be summonedBut, he's a god? Much like Nophica or Halone? I can imagine the Spire as being a possible raid environment, but I doubt we'll be having any direct confrontations with the twelve.

http://finalfantasy.wikia.com/wiki/The_TwelveWhether the 12 truly existed in the past or a truly gods in unknown, but at the very least a Primal version of one of the 12 can be made.Louisoix's spell was actually summoning them, but he planned on killing himself before the 12 could manifest in full because they would have been no different from aether-consuming Primals

But during the calamity The Scoins did summon the Twelve as primals in an attempt to seal Bahamut again. I'm kinda expecting some twisted version of Rhalgr as well to be honestBut, he's a god? If I know correctly the plan was for Louisouix to die halfway into the summoning to make sure the twelve primals don't in fact become reality, but the poeple did began summing the twelve as primals.
The way primal summoning works, everything can be a primal. If you are very hungry and have lots of crystals, wishing for a pizza could summon a primal pizza. But because recurring summons are a big part of what makes a final fantasy final fantasy, we will definitely have at least one old summon becomming a primal.

You couldn't, there is more to it than wanting something and having crystals.
No one believes in pizza the same way people believe in Jesus or Muhammad. Which is pretty much what the 12 are to Eorzeans, or the Primals to their tribes.

I want to believe you, but the world has all sort of crazies. Besides Greg didn't worship Enkidu as a god. He was his friend. Yet he still summoned him in primal form just by wishing he was there. And Phoenix simply came from the wish to save Eorzea from destruction. Nobody prayed for Phoenix actually.

Enkidu, I know they officially count him as a primal, but for lore discussing them I really don't feel he is relevant. He's the joke summon of a joke character in a storyline that pretty much entirely exists because it's funnyI want to believe you, but the world has all sort of crazies. The ingredient in Primal creation that IMHO is most often not discussed is a soul, it's why a captured Ifrit or Bahamut or whoever is a big deal, the summoners can't just gather crystals and make another.
Ifrit, Titan, etc. are drawn from the lifestream by their followers prayers and given form through aether, Shiva, Pheonix, etc. use their own souls, either on purpose or inadvertently, as the foundation for the primal.
Makes sense to me, and explains why the overworked guy delivering carts of crystals who thinks he really deserves a pay rise isn't accidentally turning his delivery into the fearsome 'Sack of Gil: The Lord of frivolous spending!'
