I fight it slightly weird that we have no ice/lightning primal to round out the air/water/Bismarck and fire/earth/Ravana set.

Surprisingly nobody fly over the airship to look at those statues.
Obviously there is still one primal to come for Heavenward.

Unannounced primal. We all know who the statues are. The last one will complete the Warring Triad.

The elemental triad will most likely remain unfinished, not that finishing it was ever even hinted at, I'd just like it to be.

I'd like to save the Ivalice Espers for when we go to the east since Yugiri straight up said they had something similar, but not the same. There's no reason Tristan couldn't have gotta his egi from there =X

I think Rhalgar being a primal is pretty unlikely for one reason. Look at his statue. Old bearded guy with a lighting staff. That is a little too similar to an already existing primal.

As long as the mechanics are different and they style the fight differently i see absolutly no problem with that and the story hints strongly in that direction. On the other hand it would be nice if the scions could for once talk someone out of summoning their god.

It would be nice yes, but that doesn't give XP and loot. Maybe XP but definitely no loot. MMOs sadly have their limits.
