Autorun incorrectly turning on

So I have been having issues with autorun for a couple of weeks and I am curious if anyone else are experiencing the same issue. Basically, if I move with W, A, Q (strafe), E (strafe) or by holding both mouse buttons, and then click TAB, my character starts to autorun. It does not trigger if I am standing still. I have to be moving when TAB is pressed. If I enable autorun with its normal key ("|", in my case) and then press TAB it will disable autorun, as if I pressed "|" again.

Something also peculiar: If I am walking backwards and press TAB, my character will actuall start walking forward at walking speed. Also demonstrated in the video

I have checked keybindings and there are no issues there (TAB is only assigned to the normal cycle targets function). I have tried to reproduce the bug in various other games with the same type of movement to no success. It only happens in FFXIV.

I can't say I know anything about tab causing auto-run, except that you might want to double check your keybinds to see if you didn't accidentally put tab in there.

As for the walking speed when auto-running while moving backward, I believe that's a feature.
