Devouts/Magus/etc are jobs that grew independently because they are separate but parallel worlds. They have way different names too because of this difference, and more is discussed in the lorebook. Because of this, the WOD have way different names that don't follow the Eorzean naming conventions for the races because they are from a different, but parallel world.

Lots of info in the lorebook!!! Hard for a tail or horn to be removed. Grow continously until they reach a certain size and stop growing.
Damaged: slow regeneration. Horns are hollow and the vibration aids in hearing. The hearing is normal and not superior to lalafells and they listen to sound in different ways
