Tai chi is often compared to yoga. And like yoga, tai chi has myriad forms. The most commonly practiced form is known as Yang style tai chi, but other popular forms include the Chen, Wu, Hao and Sun styles, according to the International Yang Family Tai Chi Chuan Association. Each style is slightly different, but all emphasize slow, deliberate and carefully orchestrated movements, with one movement flowing into the next — almost like a choreographed dance

Everyone is aware that Martial Arts shares core similarities to Dance, but "almost" doesn't make a dancer a martial artist or vice versa. They're 2 different expressions of discipline at the end of the day under their umbrella terms, and even more distinct as you move into unique styles.

I'm by no means fighting against the idea of Dancer, but some of the claims I've seen for it being Dancer are just so frivolous.

She's wearing dress! Must be a dancer!
She did a small jig; aka hopped on one foot as some martial artists do, must be a dancer!
Following some peoples logic all characters are dancers because we have dances!

I'm all for Dancer being in-game, but would be awesome if people used some evidence that isn't so easily disregarded. As to her moves being different from the standard Monk movements, from what I've heard regarding the Monk 51-60 quests state that there's different schools of fighting within Monk therefore this could easily be something 60/61 - 70.

Is it possible she actually is Dancer? Certainly, but not with the lazy evidence being provided. And if so; as someone else stated, pretty weak that Dancer and Monk look to fight nearly identically.

To be fair: the only evidence we have for Red Mage is the Scarlet Witch T-Shirt and that's considered all but confirmed. So, uhm...yeah.

2 monks fighting were in that video. Ala Migho is where all the monks are from anyway. I highly doubt it is a dancer, especially since the female in red countered the monk's move with the same monk type of move. The fighting scene in the teaser is very reminiscent of Asian martial arts films (realistic and magical).

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Capoeira

Capoeira is a martial arts that is very similar to a dance with its acrobatic movements. Just because it is flashy, does not mean it is strictly a dance.

Pretty sure that's the same as the animation for featherfoot currently in game.

I hope its dancer mainly because id rather have 3 jobs then 2. as for the whole it looks like a monk thing its a cinematic it doesn't have to represent its fighting style perfectly.

It was accepted on page 3 of the live stream thread yesterday it wasn't dancer. This didn't need its own thread.

The trailer in any way "proving" we're getting Dancer is a bigger stretch than the Goatse Man.

Doesn't mean we aren't getting it, but the teaser trailer certainly doesn't depict one.

With this character's death, the thread of prophecy remains intact.
