To throw a wrench in that particular argument, due to trouble balancing Scholar against Summoner, the devs have said that they are not going to ever have branching jobs again.
Go into whatever job that you want to go into, and explain why you think she is that job. People are suspecting Dancer, because there are things that suggest Dancer. If you saw something that suggested Geomancer, go ahead. There is no definitive answer that she IS a Samurai
There is no definitive answer that she IS a Red Mage
There is no definitive answer that she IS a Time Mage
There is no definitive answer that she IS a Necromancer
There is no definitive answer that she IS a Blue Mage
There is no definitive answer that she IS a Geomancer
Should we go to every job that was asked in the official forum for 35 pages ?
The Dev's have said a lot of things that didn't always hold true. Things change over time.
It is tempting to just focus on other topics, but I will respond to comments and questions aimed at me. I believe it is good manners to do so. I think many of you, you included don't quite get my problem. Discussing dancer is totally fine. But this thread and its five or so copies aren't discussing dancer. It's just the same argument about wether the red woman is a dancer or not. And I really honestly do not believe any of those in favor of her being a dancer, want the playable dancer to be like this. If you want dancer to be an almost exact copy of the monk (unlikely as yoshie-P did say that they won't do more branching jobs) I will concede that I wasn't correct on that account. But I think most people don't want this to be the dancer. You yourself admitted that you don't care about the answer, you just want the debate to go on.
Glad you two understand. This is just an argument for the sake of arguing. And it has gone long enough.
Allright. Let's do that. Point me towards the thread that does it. Go on, i'll wait.
A good theory I saw was the people of ala mihgo created the dancing style to hide their martial arts training under the garlean rule.
That is a good thought. I wonder what the lore is on the blade dancer?
That'd certainly make a DNC's questline more exciting, were the DNC ever implemented. I can totally see a capoeira thing happening.
As a side note, I wonder if anybody who's sick of the arguing tried reporting this thread. The moderators would jump at the chance to remove it, I'm sure.
Three Ilm Knights, One Thousand Malm Road
Not a clue. I can't help but feel like some people see something wrong with it, though. Personally, I see nothing wrong with it. I just get a little irked myself when people come in saying, "That's enough!" They act like it hurts them in some way. "I'm just so tired of seeing this 37-page thread at the top!"
You know what? I get sick of the marriage partner thread, but you don't see me going in there, saying, "OMG, marriage means nothing in an online game! Stop it!"
Weird, huh?
Three Ilm Knights, One Thousand Malm Road
Okay, okay, I'm sorry.
In the true spirit of impartiality and non-biased speculation, I have amended the tags in this thread accordingly.
You're good at the game? You're an elitist.
You're using a parser to better yourself? Elitist.
You're making suggestions on how someone can improve themselves? E l i t i s t.
You wipe a farm party constantly but you're having fun playing your way. Nah you're fine dude.
This community astounds me at times.
