There Is No Dancer (yet)

I honestly think that at this point it doesn't matter what logic is. People want dancer, and they'll grab at straws to get it..

There is plenty of evidence throughout the thread for and against it being a Dancer/Monk.

For Dancer

• A solid 10% of the video focuses on her dancing. This is a pretty significant chunk of time that alludes to a dancer only for Square to back out and say "Got you!"
• Her movements are clearly more fluid than his (which are quite rigid)
• During the video she uses her feet more and moves around more, while he remains more stationary and punches more
• She has a hidden dagger-type weapon, which is focused on key artwork here and here. While it is possible for a Monk to use this weapon, it's hardly iconic of the Monk job - so why make it such a focus in the artwork?
• The expansion artwork appears to show 1 of each job in the game (Mind you I've only been able to identify BRD, PLD, DRK, MNK, DRG, NIN only, but have counted 16 jobs - current 13+3. I also suspect that bird above may be Garuda-Egi). Monk is clearly to the ladies right, which either means they have 2 Monks in the image with 1 of every other job (and we're getting 2 new ones), or she is a separate job and we are getting 3 new ones. (or I miscounted?). Also on that note, I see GLD, DRK and two other sword wielding jobs - which suggests the SAM/RDM that we are all expecting.
• The Rangers in the summer were said to be "hints" of upcoming jobs. I am not sure on this, but I read somewhere someone said that the Yellow Ranger pose is identical to a Dancer pose in FFXI?

For Monk

• The image above where it focuses on her weapon could just be that it is a weapon of Royalty or has some other story value associated with it
• She uses Pugilist and/or Monk abilities (could be cross classed, could be Hybrid NPC i.e. Yshtola, could just be Monk)
• She's blonde, so she must be Yda? (while it could be true, she also could just be blonde). Yda is a Monk (like no other NPC's have changed jobs before when new jobs are added).
• Her new abilities could be new Monk ones added from 61-70

Now almost all of the evidence are merely hints & speculation, so nothing can be confirmed concrete. To say "I am right, and if you think otherwise you are grasping at straws" is clearly dismissive and condescending. This forum here is in part to let people theorycraft and speculate. Let people have fun. If you don't want to take part, don't. If you have counter-arguments, please share
