There Is No Dancer (yet)

People hyped about Dancer and here i am drooling for a Gunblade Job.

Mix of Two Jobs, so it might be that the Girl in the Trailer is a Garlean and a mix of Monk and Dancer? It would explain the Monk skills used along with the Cloth Slashes.

Well we might get gun katana or gun rapier for samurai or red mage. I'm hoping for gun rapier.

As for the b**ch in the red dress, I'm sticking with her being Yda's sister. She being sudenly mentioned in the lorebook is too perfect of a coincidence. Till we get an official name I'm going to call her Ada. For obvious reasons.

I don't think garleans are mixing two jobs actually. They just take advantage of their weapons being gun weapons. It's kinda their thing. That's why I believe red mages might get gun rapiers. 20 years of Garleans rule probably left its mark. RM likes duality anyway. Melee and ranged, white magic and black, physical and magic. Why not add tech and magic to the mix?

I think she isn't Yda either like many people speculated, anyway my only problem with Red Mage is if it is a tank.

As for the Girl in the trailer doesn't need to be Garlean either, it's just an NPC that can do multiple Jobs, like many others already in the game, hence a hint at Dancer.

Honestly if we ever see Dancer, I think it wouldn't belong from Ala Mhigo, but from Thavnair. (Red Mage would be from Sharlayan because of mastering the technique of using both black and white magic simultaneously. A nation with great knowledge would fit much more.)

They should've just made Machinist the gunblade job and made it not like Bard but more of what you suggested. Lost opportunity if you ask me.

I couldn't care less if it is, or isn't Dancer, but my immediate impression was, "Wow, it's Dancer."

Going through art school has taught me one thing if nothing else- Design is done with deliberate reasoning, almost always. There was a storyboard for this. There were discussions of what they'd show (from the full trailer/reel). Presumably, they knew Dancer was something the community wanted (the same way they were aware of the community knowing Ala Mhigo was our new destination). Considering all of those things... It's kind of hard to believe that they'd approve the trailer without knowing it'd be alluding to Dancer.

Hey, but it could be a red herring. Maybe the dancing was alluding to the fighter's whimsical nature, or their identity more than the Job itself. What do I know, anyway?

For this effect i believe you are right, snd this thread shows proof of that tease going into our heads. The action shown though i feel is 2 monks or pugilists fighting, some things about that outfit and beginning definately elude to a convincing argument both ways. Things like the moonfire faire this year doesnt help, and subtle inferences like that that was showcasing the number of new jobs or something, also eludes us to believe it could be a reference.

I am guessing the Stormblood logo depicts people that will be included in Stormblood? Much like how Heavensward depicts the start of the Dragonsong War with Haldrath vs Nidhogg

With that said, I do think that there will be a dancer amongst the Stormblood rebels. But it's not that lady in red
