The lady in the trailer is most definitely not Yda. Yda has a neck tattoo. This woman doesn't.Whether or not the lady in the trailer was a DNC aside, I just remembered something. SE loves to use their franchises as much as they can, like with Biggs and Wedge being in plenty of FF games, as well as Cid. Suppose that name, Arylon could actually be the name of the lady in the teaser? Or, maybe more of a stretch, what if Yda is not Yda's real name... but it's Arylon? Princess Arylon?
You're good at the game? You're an elitist.
You're using a parser to better yourself? Elitist.

You wipe a farm party constantly but you're having fun playing your way. Nah you're fine dude.
This community astounds me at times.
After reading most of this post, I can understand what the OP was trying to say. For the moment all is speculation, until we have confirmation from SE that DNC is one of the 3 new jobs. The teaser trailer and artwork is not enough evidence. Saying that DNC confirmed 100% with so little evidence is just wishfull thinking.
Ok instead of me continuing to feed the arguments, I have a theory.
Some people say that in the trailer they used some of the monk forms like fists of fire and fists of wind. Now with that in mind remember what was mentioned at the fest about the battle system getting updated, and useless skills getting repurposed. Featherfoot isn't the only pointless skill in the monks endgame arsenal, two of our forms can't ever be used during an endgame battle by any means: the fists of wind and the fists of earth. So, what if the devs update the other two forms to change the monks fighting style? And not just change the fighting style, but change the abilities as well to suit the different form of martial arts?
We'll use the trailer as a good example for that. If the forms did get repurposed then the monk could change their style to suit that form as said before. The fists of fire being a more offence, heavy attacker focused form. The fists of wind being, perhaps a more lightweight and flowing form like how the woman in the trailer was. Maybe something that promotes fast attacks and evasion. The fists of earth would be a tough one to pin down, obviously since it was a form used for defense at earlier levels, maybe it would promote a higher defense and could possibly focus on something like counterattacking, or using the damage they receive to buff themselves.
Just some speculation there on my part. If there are any martial artists on this forum that would like to help elaborate on this, please do.

This. And not only this but if it is a Dancer, it's so similar to monk I fear for job identity between the two.
So are we getting
Dancer
Red Mage
So far?
Zenos yae Galvus uses a katana and dresses like a Yojimbo cosplayer, so maybe Samurai?

Potentially, but there is no precedence that an antagonist is a hint at a playable job.
Conversely, there is precedent that Yoshi's T-Shirts are hints (see FanFest for Heavensward). Also, someone claimed that the rangers from the Moonfire event were supposed to hint at new jobs and the Yellow pose = DNC FFXI pose. I don't have a source on Yoshi saying they are a hint, but there is a comparison image on page 11 of this thread.
I feel pretty confident that was dancer we witnessed in the trailer. Its a teaser trailer, and it clearly put a lot of emphasis on the lady in red twirling around and dancing, and did so right as she was introduced in the video. Very very intentional there, and clearly set up to illicit excitement and cheers from the crowd. As the trailer draws near that iconic end with the two face to face in the air, we see them fly back and stand opposite one another. The monk winds back and does a stomp as he postures, the lady in red however twirls on one foot before jumping. Everything about her was more elegent in style. Dancer is often depicted with these flowing garments (and almost always red) that they wirl around, just as she does in the trailer. If it ISNT a dancer then why is over half the trailer spent on them? Why a woman? why the attire? Why the dancing? I think its all very clear what she is, and why she is so prominent in the trailer. The trailer gives us a glimpse into the culture we will be entering into with regards to ala mhigo, and I think Dancer fits that culture better than any other class. Dancer and monk will likely be very central to the the story in this new land. Both share martial styles and hand 2 hand combat, and both will share in this culture. It is a fitting job addition given the theme and culture.
So who do I think we are actually looking at here? I think it is Yda's younger sister, a dancer.
