There's a very distinct connection from the original Final Fantasy and a direct correlation to the woman in the red dress in Stormblood, and they both have blonde hair. Coincidence?

Lol, a big Coincidence. I keep saying it's Dancer but everybody is like no it's a Monk. While Yoshida hinted at "Scarlet Witch" (http://www.cinemablend.com/new/Aveng...ter-69426.html), everybody thinks it's a Red Mage later on and it's 2 Monks. Nope, It's a Monk and a Dancer.

i will be blunt, since they have forced the combo system in every melee, it's difficult to get a huge difference.
the biggest difference is in the combo lenght, in the dragoon you have a very long cycle, when the monk is smaller and are more flexible (even if you want to reach the highest dps, you have a cycle quite fixed actually)

you will do your combo, placing skill out of GCD between weaponskill of your combo. moving for the right position (if you try to reach the best dps)

yeah we have another difference, is the speed between skill for the monk, is possible to reach below 1.9 gcd with the monk when a drg will be at best at 2.2.... outside this, we do have 2 DoT to place on the target, 2 main combo (one on the side and one on the back)
one skill that reduce the defense againsst our type of damage. the monk did get the meditation, where the dragoon did get the dragonblood, for the monk is a skill kinda hard to place, that will be charged when you can't fight. the dragoon can keep the dragonblood up the longuest possible passing him combo from 3 weapon skill at 4 weapon skill.

but in the absolute the two class play the same way, the difference lie in a few gimmick and a cycle that differe.... but if you look at the jobs in globality the difference are not that much.

At this point, I'm going to say it's distinctly ambiguous. However, I'm leaning toward MNK simply because it would be such an overwhelming reveal of dancer at the NA fanfest, and they DON'T announce new jobs at the NA Fanfest.

However, I said already and will say again. WHY would you WANT a DNC that could be so easily mistaken for a MNK? It's not distinct enough and it's like a MNK clone aesthetically. Lame. I hope if DNC is revealed they will make it much more unique.

-She uses MNK abilities in the teaser
-Her arm blade is a MNK weapon
-She's rumored to be Yda, who is a Pugilist (or MNK)
-Ala Mhigo is likely a homeland for monks

*I practice martial arts, and I, as well as anyone else who practices martial arts, I assume, do not see myself as a "dancer" when I practice a slow-moving form; therefore, I don't treat it like a dance.

After reading most of this post, I can understand what the OP was trying to say. For the moment all is speculation, until we have confirmation from SE that DNC is one of the 3 new jobs. The teaser trailer and artwork is not enough evidence. Saying that DNC confirmed 100% with so little evidence is just wishfull thinking.

This. And not only this but if it is a Dancer, it's so similar to monk I fear for job identity between the two.
