Which might? It's in the Logo, lol. Also the Link i gave with Yoshida hinting Scarlet Witch, Dancer. Lol.Yet in the trailer most of her offensive strikes are martial arts style hand and feet strikes and almost all of the readily identifiable moves are existing Monk or Pugilist moves. Even the bouncing, "dance" type move she does during the break in combat looks like Featherfoot. So we're arguing that she's Dancer because she uses one strike which might be construed to have a blade, out of the 20 or so moves that she performs, the remainder all being more akin to Monk.

Scarlet being another word for red and witch sort of being interchangeable with magician I personally believe his t-shirt likely hints at Red Mage. Can't know for sure though until new jobs are confirmed by SE. Scarlet Witch and Dancer just doesn't seem to have any connection that I can figure out which is why to me Red Mage seems more likely the hinted job there. I don't really know much about Marvel superheroes cept the well-known X-Men characters. I looked up Scarlet Witch and she was just a mutant that had powers (that can alter reality apparently according to Wikipedia) nothing about dancing or anything like that so.Uh, yes, it's a Dancer.
If any of you actually watched the trailer closely, you could easily draw the conclusion. If you watch the trailer again at 0.25x speed when they start fighting, a long red sleeve comes out her gauntlet as she swipes down on him. Also you'll notice a "Golden" line as well which would be the hidden blade. In FF Tactics Dancers used "Cloth" as a weapon or dagger in other instances, this incorporates both. Some people say "Oh but she's using Monk moves", Dancer is a subclass from Monk, duh. Others speculate "Red Mage" being released because Yoshida said something about Scarlet Witch. Obviously it's not a coincidence that the chakra of said dancer is "Red". Yoshida could be playing mind games.
Red Lady did some strange things in the video that makes me wonder if she is only a MNK, she seems like a MNK but that doesn't mean Dancer isn't a possibility for one of the new jobs. I really think Dancer will only be there if they made 3 new jobs for expac though. Red Mage and Samurai have been hinted at in general and that already takes two of them, but really even though hints were thrown everything is speculation until confirmation. SE could throw a curve ball maybe and do something unexpected. It sadly isn't a Dancer for sure at all though nor is any of the new jobs 100% confirmed.
Red Mage or Dancer or both I can't wait to play them anyway! I love when they add new jobs @.@
Well, i wonder what some people see....
To me those things are obvious:
- Exact same battle-pose before the fight starts (#1m08s), which is pretty similar (but different) to standard monk weapon drawn stance.
- The male does a forward leap punch.
The female blocks, does a move which is pretty similar to part of monk's /bstance (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xswDRz2DHPQ) and then counter's with the exact same move.- another set of mirrored moves (#1m40s)
- no actual "fluid" attacks, but things like a devastating "knee strike" and then (again) a mirrored kick.
- Both have a chakra aura, both finish with a full-charged leap to each other (again, mirrored).
- She uses a weapon. But Raubahn (Gladiator) uses two swords. Papalymo wears plate gauntlets. Ida and Papalymo combine their powers for a final flare attack.
Those things define npc characters. And Monks use bladed weapons attached to their hands, too, anyway. To have a weapon model with just one hand bladed isn't impossible at all.
Besides, so far monks has been described as the non-plus-ultra regarding hand-2-hand combat. Even to the point they almost got wiped out by the Garleans.
So unlessthere is no dancer in this teaser. If they tell us they go back to double-job classes then I will reconsider this.
- there a third faction in Ala Mi'gho rivaling the 2 known monk factions regarging hand-2-hand combat
- dancer is as much focussed on all-out-attacks as monk (not more evasive or distractive)
- dancers most used attacks have nothing to do with actually dancing
- dancer is another job of pugilist, which also utilizes chakra (which would be kinda lame) ... (and only working if new jobs get actually a base class).
But then we have seen nothing which is worth considering as an dancer "job ability". Just /dance isn't one.
But so far... nope, that's a monk, who moves like a monk and punches/kicks like a monk, uses chakra like a monk and danced for unknown reasons about 10s.
Maybe to hint dancer as a possible new class in 4.x, but sure not to make her a dancer.

Besides, does anyone really want this to be the confirmation for Dancer? A job that's almost identical to MNK but can dance a bit? I'd rather they implement something new and exciting than give us MNK again with altered moves.
This for days. This was my entire point when I first posted.
Although I will say Redmage has been all but officially announced. Yoshi has said several times they wanted more casters in the game throughout development and the shirt hint is his trademark (I wonder how he goes about it :P).

ermm almost every melee work the same, outside a small gimmick, in the case of the monk you can jump from a combo to another at will and must continue all the time for get buff, for ninja you have the combo system fixed and the ninjutsu, for the dragoon we do have the combo system fixed and the jump mechanic.
if she use a new type of gimmick interestant why not. you are there saying she look like a monk, because she will fight at melee.... but honestly every melee dps are similar...

While the game play is the same, aesthetically they are completely different. Monk moves do not look the same as Dragoon moves and Ninja moves. Aesthetically in the trailer, their move set looks almost identical.ermm almost every melee work the same, outside a small gimmick, in the case of the monk you can jump from a combo to another at will and must continue all the time for get buff, for ninja you have the combo system fixed and the ninjutsu, for the dragoon we do have the combo system fixed and the jump mechanic.

Eh, her "dancing" just looks like she's practicing martial arts forms to me, and she pretty clearly goes full MNK once they start sparring. The cloth weapon thing could be NPC exclusive, or it could be a new MNK weapon, or maybe she really is a Dancer. Who knows?
All we do know is that SE is keeping a tight lid on it for now and we can only speculate.
As an aside, unless you're the SE employee that personally coded Dancer into the game and have incontrovertible evidence for Dancer's existence, you may want to refrain from coming off so condescendingly.

Been digging around (haven't red most of this thread) so I dunno if this has been posted yet.

There's a very distinct connection from the original Final Fantasy and a direct correlation to the woman in the red dress in Stormblood, and they both have blonde hair. Coincidence?
