It's because, apparently, some people do take the speculation as confirmation, and spread more and more rumors that it is, in fact 100% confirmed.
Thus, because the speculation is "Misleading", some believe that it must be disallowed entirely.
This exactly. All the "Proof" to justify DNC being confirmed by this teaser trailer is circumstantial at best, and quite a bit of mental gymnastics to bend things to fit their own personal narrative and hype is the more likely the reality.
She has a weighted bit of fabric on a piece of cloth on her arm. Dancer Confirmed! The WoL isn't using a weapon at all, the Bare/Freelancer job is confirmed! The random guy is loading a cannon (and if you recall, they were using cannons in the heavensward cinematic), Cannoneer job double confirmed! There were Garlean's using Gunblades in the End of an Era Trailer (they shoot the WoL), Magitek Knight job confirmed! I think quiet a few in this thread really need to research what Occam's Razor is.
Honestly, up to this point they have not showcased any of the new jobs in any cinematic. This would be the first. They have tended to showcase the WoL's job. End of Era - He was a Warrior, Heavensward - Dragoon, Stormsblood - Monks Sparing on the hand of Rhalgr at the new hub. That's all.
This is bugging me. Up until now, we've had exactly two cinematic teasers: one for Heavensward, and one for Stormblood. Claiming that the very first has set some sort of recurring theme that all those thereafter must follow just seems to be reaching for straws. "They didn't do this the first time; they can't possibly have done this the second time." Please.
Unless you don't mean only the expansion teasers. In which case, the Heavensward launch trailer shows the new jobs. They just didn't show it to us until they'd already told us about them.
Or do you mean the ARR trailer? That one showed every single one of the -zero- new jobs we got.
And before then... well, I'm having trouble finding anything from 1.x apart from the opening cinematic. I can recall there being a archer, conjuror, gladiator and marauder fighting the marlboro -- all brand new classes at the time. Jobs were apparently introduced around patch 1.2, but if there's a cinematic teaser or trailer for that patch, I can't find it.

The "New" jobs for 2.0 were Summoner and Scholar. The End of an Era trailer only showed WAR, BRD, PLD, WHM, and BLM. SMN and SCH were not shown. The heavensward trailer ONLY showcased the WoL as a WAR then him as a DRG with a bunch of DRG. Not DRK, MCH, and AST. We got an in game look at them AFTER they were officially announced. This trailer is showing two MNKs. The girl is not a Dancer.
Why are people being so aggressive with each other? D: Surely we can get our points and opinions across without it, right? I mean, we are arguing/debating BECAUSE we love the game and want new and exciting things for it. If we have that in common surely we can find it in ourselves to be more understanding and patient while expressing ourselves :<
Currently Playing: Blue Revolver
Nah, when it comes to it where people have different opinions it automaticly turns into "We against Them" kind of mindset. Sad but true, some people find it difficult to have an open mind. Why are people being so aggressive with each other? D: Surely we can get our points and opinions across without it, right? Because if someone has a different opinion than me that makes them wrong factually! /sarcasmWhy are people being so aggressive with each other? actually if you scroll back a few pages, i state that there's no real proof either way which is why we're free to speculate, so i'm not sure who "you all" is supposed to be. it's incredibly simple, we have monks in game and they don't move like the red lady in the trailer. nor do they dress like her, nor do they have daggers/hidden blades. acting like its a 100% certainty that she's just a monk is just as stupid as acting like she's 100% dancer. so maybe instead of being a moron and talking as an authority on something that we QUITE LITERALLY don't know, you can accept that it's a possibility.
or just bury your head in the sand i guess, just like the "you all" that you're trying to patronise
