Come on, a flowy gown no matter how pretty does NOT equal dancer. As far as game programming goes, you can still be a monk in a dress. I don't know why people are running with this, but so far we have no proof that dancer is happening. Sorry to burst your bubble.

Thats a part of a Dancer Class Guide on FF11, saying Monk was the best subjob choice for Dancer. Also we have 3 melee dps atm against 4 ranged dps. No one knows for sure what Red Mage will be, a tank or dps or even a healer, but if it isn't a dps, that spot would be open, maybe for Samurai, but then what would healer be? Perhaps close range healer. Sounds silly yeah, but then you have skills for monk like Mantra, so that possibility is still there.

But, and this is important, those who think of her as a Dancer aren't looking at her flowing garments, outside of the specific use of a weighted ribbon/cloth-type thing as a weapon, when thinking she might be a Dancer.

They are looking at how she actually moves, which has noticeable differences throughout the teaser.

Not really. Every mention of a Monk move I've heard or seen so far doesn't actually match with the animation of said move, and kicks are hardly Monk exclusive.

I'm by no means fighting against the idea of Dancer, but some of the claims I've seen for it being Dancer are just so frivolous.

She did a small jig; aka hopped on one foot as some martial artists do, must be a dancer!
Following some peoples logic all characters are dancers because we have dances!

I'm all for Dancer being in-game, but would be awesome if people used some evidence that isn't so easily disregarded. As to her moves being different from the standard Monk movements, from what I've heard regarding the Monk 51-60 quests state that there's different schools of fighting within Monk therefore this could easily be something 60/61 - 70.

Is it possible she actually is Dancer? Certainly, but not with the lazy evidence being provided. And if so; as someone else stated, pretty weak that Dancer and Monk look to fight nearly identically.

Considering Yoshi-P made a similar allusion to a future class 2 years ago wearing a Batman shirt; Dark Knight, I'd consider that more reliable than half the knee jerk reactions from the cinematic.

What if he knows everyone is expecting that and purposely misleads us this time? Moreover, doing such a gig twice in a row would just set expectations and is boring to boot. Clearly it's just a trap or nothing at all, people are just knee-jerk reacting to a random T-shirt because it alluded to something in the past.

Honestly, I'd just let people speculate.

2 monks fighting were in that video. Ala Migho is where all the monks are from anyway. I highly doubt it is a dancer, especially since the female in red countered the monk's move with the same monk type of move. The fighting scene in the teaser is very reminiscent of Asian martial arts films (realistic and magical).

Capoeira is a martial arts that is very similar to a dance with its acrobatic movements. Just because it is flashy, does not mean it is strictly a dance.
