Red Mage = Yda?

How would you all feel if they made Dancer a second Pugilist soulstone? I know they said they wouldn't do this because SMN/SCH was such a pain, but if both are still DPS and it's more of a style shift than a fully new job, I would be all about that. People have been asking for talents or the like, this could be a way to test the waters for that sort of thing.

Of course, that said I can already hear the complaining if they did that - why does MNK get preference, why aren't they spending time on new jobs, etc. So it seems unlikely, but I'd be all for it (and this coming from someone who plays MNK very rarely).

nah, its most likely not gonna be a pgl split, but now that we have enough levels to divide jobs from classes, its not impossible.
RDM no, alisaes recent actions in msq pretty much showcased that its not gonna be a fist fighter.
Dance? maybe, as was stated before thancred goes from gld/brd to oh yeah ive been a rogue all my life. It could also be Yda's sister.

Little bit of a necro there. But I wouldn't be surprised if the Red Monk (title goofed I think) is Ursala from FFIV:TAY. If you watch cutscenes from any of the versions, you'll see she wears the exact same clothes and is definitely a monk.

Of course it probably won't be THE Ursala from FFIV. Just like Matoya or Krile aren't the originals from their respective first appearances, or Cid for that matter.

Yda is dead 6 years ago. The "Yda" we know is Lyse, her sister. Her tatoos were fake one Papalymo made for her to look like Yda, but after Papalymo's death the tatoos couldn't stay by themselves. So pretty much now that we saw her face and she has no tatoos anymore, it's crystal clear that Lyse "Yda" is the trailer's woman. She's from Ala Mhigo, and now she's up to set it free.
