Not entirely true. Are you forgetting that battle system will get reworked? It is possible that monk will kick more. And this is a movie, you don't need to follow monk skills at max detail but movie give more freedom than in-game animations.it's yda, but i doubt she is monk or red mage
all her move set don't match the monk style, more a dancer like. in the CG her movement are fluid and smooth, when monk in game are more about hard hitting attack than smooth movement. plus she have tons of kick, when monk (the midlander) is mostly fist. (fist of rahgr after all) she too use some attack with her clothes that look like dancer move.
he has the scar watch the trailer againAre we sure it's Derplander ? All we know is that he is hot as hell and a lot of player saw differences between the 2 of them that could hint to new customisation of charac or, as far as we know, a all new character.
I know it just a detail that can be explain by technology but Derp seems to have a scar on his forhead that the monk does not have and the face looks "longer" ^^"
The Warrior of Light has the Echo, which allows us to relive (and interact with) people's memories. If this is a flashback, it would be the lady in red's memory and not a case of time travel. What's missing is that annoying wavy colorless overlay they usually put on the Echo visions.
Oooh, shiney...
Yoshi P referred to him as the Warrior of Light during the Keynote when referencing the trailer.
Even ignoring the tattoo discrepancy, she looks too smart to be Yda.
Naoki Yoshida:
Source: http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/threads/113554 at 1:14:22...Similarly, these older MMOs also had a system where your house would break down if you didn’t log in after a while in order to have you continue your subscription, but this is a thing of the past and we won't have any system like that.
This debate is silly and useless at best and proves there's no hope for this community.
Compared to:
That ain't Yda. /thread
I thought Alisaie was the red mage anyway.
You know sword + magic.
I know xDI think you're thinking about this a bit too literally. I mean we're not talking about stopping to do the macarena in the middle of a battle. Dancing is flowing movement. A dancer class, as a DPS, could just simply be that. Martial arts style fighting, with fast movements that flow smoothly from one technique to the next. Maybe a little footwork to be done.
Add a blade into their hand, and the flowing movements can become a quick flurry of slicing and dicing without having to worry about stopping to reposition their body parts. one strike leads into the next, one body movement flowing into another. it'd make good contrast to the brute force style of monk, and the spastic dagger flailing of ninja.
Yet, if it's what you say, this is not a Dancer then, but more like a monk-ish. :/
