Dragoon Discrimination has to end

Its just an in-joke within the community that bled in from FFXI where Dragoons were pretty terrible in their implementation, the fact that when ARR launched, things like their abysmal magic defence and the usual case of players being killed by using jump at bad times, I would say its hardly malicious, since most times, I see Dragoons be the ones to take the piss out of themselves. But there will obviously be players who actively grief others, best you can do is ignore/report and move on.

I play Dragoon every so often and any cases where I mess up can be laughed off as being a loldrg, as long as its all in good fun of course. Hell sometimes when I play it, I get through duties without dying once, what kind of scrub tier loldrg am I?

Geez, there is no need to Jump so quickly to conclusions, or to be so Elusive about a sense of humor. I hear some decent Blood work will yield some stem cells, they can be used to grow a funny bone.

I've never seen it happen, nor has it happened to me.

If it does occur, then you have the tools required to handle it. Report, blacklist whatever, move on.

If someone is intentionally killing you, yeaa it's not fun. However, the DRG jokes will never end. It's part of playing the class at this point.

I honestly think some people here would not notice this kind of discrimination even if it hits them square in the face. And no, this thread is most definitely not a troll thread, I am very serious.

The problem is, that over the years I have played, I have noticed the situation get worse and I know my OH is not the only one thinking like this. A joke is fine but people need to keep their eyes open to notice when something stops being a joke.

Confirmation bias, it's not getting worse, if anything DRG jokes have died down a lot lately. Yes, you did have two bad experiences with griefers, but you don't want to accept that these are isolated incidents and they are not the norm, there isn't some sort of campaign to harass every single dragoon, you simply met bad people.

I didn't read every post so I don't if anyone has brought this up... but Dragoon jokes have been around since the good old days of XI. Nearly 15 years... just don't think them jokes are going away anytime soon.

On that note though, I've never had someone try and kill me while on DRG or a joke turn into a not so funny joke anymore. If people are being that rude, maybe you should report them. Otherwise, take it with grain of salt. Like I said, don't see them jokes going away anytime soon. And imo, some of them are kinda funny, so I don't mind.

This has happened to me I'm afraid. A friend (tank) and I (DRG) queued up in roulette and got Halatali (woots!). One of the other members made a pun during one of the bosses and said, "lol drg!", and my friend totally took it the wrong way, but he is also unfamiliar with the whole 'lol drg' and where it came from. So they get into this big 'ol argument, and the guy who made the joke initiated a vote kick, and I kicked my own friend on accident. So the other person said, "Why did you kick your own friend because I didn't vote to do it?" My response was, "lol drg!"

We all cracked up and finished the instance with three, and I tanked. I knew the guy was joking so it wasn't a big deal. We also got a new tank about 10 seconds before the we took out the final boss, and I'm sure he got the clear bonus. More luls ensued. I mean this was one of the craziest and funniest instances I've ever been in.
