Eh there are more Lala jokes than dragoon jokes but you don't see us screaming discrimination or racism :P

'lolDRG' is basically the singular most defining element of FF14's 'culture.'
If it dies, it'll be as if FF14 never truly lived.
I'm afraid that, for the greater good, you'll just have to keep managing that floor aggro.
Dragoon jokes can be funny but...they get really old really quick lol. That doesn't mean I don't use them, but I use them in the same self-loathing sense of humor that I do when I say "brb guys I'm gonna go down some bleach". "Don't worry guys, I'll tank that floor for you!" x3
I see them more in the game's periphery than I actually do in game, and if anyone has actively tried to kill me with mobs as a joke, that hasn't killed me yet.
The joke of course is fun to reverse when you are Last Man Standing. "Wow you died before the DRG gg"
"Hey, you took my job!"

I'll crack DRG jokes to myself or my friends as much as the next guy, but trying to get someone killed just to make the joke. In my eyes that's a step too far. Plus, I make sure the DRG jokes are meant in good taste, even if they're a bit old and stale. I might well crack the joke, but you bet if I haven't already I'll be doing what I can to get you back on your feet (which, as someone who mainly heals everything but roulettes nowadays, will be quite a lot).
White Mage ~ Scholar ~ PaladinBoi if you got kicked for the same thing in over 20 duties I strongly suggest you think hard on whatever the hell it is you're doing
As I'm sure you are well aware, it takes more than one person to be able to kick a player from a duty, so in all those instances there were at least two people agreeing they'd be better off without you tanking.

The bag of goodies for fanfest attendees had quite a few interesting items
Specifically this
Do you know why the DRG is sideways?
No, it wasn't the player who did it, SE is cracking a loldrg joke, the dragoon is "downed".
But this is not the first time they have done it.
Lighthen up OP, it's not meant to be taken as serious, and I really doubt the behavior you're describing is the norm.

Seriously SE? LOL, that has to be the best lolDRG joke I've ever seen. Well played Square Enix!
OMG... AND the DRG won the pony!? Now this is party finder farm groups to a tee... I've seen it way too often myself...

There is also this one with Leviathan

I dunno, I preferred the Titan Extreme one. Though that Leviathan one apparently represents DRGs in Ozma. So I've heard anyway. Made more sense with the English version tbh.
As I said earlier, that's taking it too far. If that had been me in that group there'd have been reports fired left and right to the GMs. It's obvious it's become griefing there. I would NOT have partaken in that behaviour. And if it was DF, I probably would have ate the 30 minute penalty because I have my limits and that would have smacked through them hard.People need to understand that just because THEY have not experienced a behaviour, it doesn't mean it's not happening.
No one minds a good-hearted Dragoon joke or the Dragoon himself running around but imo, griefing is different.
The other day we were in Sophia Ex and people kept dying left and right with the tanks taking turns (cause who needs CDs anyway....). My OH did not die in the first two wipes even once (last man standing). However, on the 3rd try, people started getting salty because my OH was trying to help with positioning.
Soon after, the other healer was actively NOT healing him and people that had no problems stacking before now made a habit out of stacking with us instead of with their partner.
Obviously, he eventually died from that behaviour (vulnerability debuff ->SCH not applying shields to him exclusively and not healing). And then when he used the LB3 and died being locked in place, the joke started how he should stop wiping the floor etc.
This is just one example. It's usually easy to see if a player is just bad or acting on purpose so it's not like anything is being over-interpreted. Cases like that keep being more frequent these days.
