PS3 gone: More character customization?

Lol people think the PS3 being dropped will add a ton of new features to the game.

It's going to be the same game with the same issues. You think the PS3 holds things back when half of it is dev team size and budget related issues.

Good thing the team has over double the budget this time, then huh.

We're not ignorant children; we know we cant have everything, we know the game isn't going to transcend into the god of MMO's... but don't pretend like nothing will change.

More character customization would only help the game, imo, and each character would have a much more unique appearance. I would buy a fantasia come 4.0!

One can only hope for updates to the customisation. At the very least I believe the face locked options should go asap, all eyes, horns, nose, mouth etc should be available; choose a race, a tribe and boom, customise away with the options we have now not divided between face types.

They did that so that most boot models they designed would work. IDK if they said they'd ever be able to change it, sadly. I'd like it

I appreciate the response explaining why, but I'm already well aware of why they did it, and have even provided solutions in the past (like many others). I'd love for it to be done and thought I'd fit it in to my post relating to character updates.

I'm also not sure if they've said anything, but I do know the Japanese fanbase has asked numerous times about it, too, so they are at least aware.

A good question for me is, if we all purchase (or pre-purchase) do we get a Fantasia to go along side all the changes to characters? I am all for more customization to my character (and I still have 1 stored) but makes me wonder.

Well from past experience, pre-ordering nets you a complimentary fantasia. Don't know if that's a trend or not, since we only have Heavensward as a reference.

Given that Yoshi-P was already saying "We'd need a PS5 to do that.", I'd say we're already there, right off the bat.

Well the PS4 is still a pretty good representation of the average gaming PC. The PS4 pro is going to be even better.

There's a complimentary fantasia that came with the original collectors edition too. So if anything, there will be the means to get a fantasia along with purchasing the game itself.
