As a 1.0 player, I don't miss the physics (as nice as they looked). I felt they hindered game play... especially during fights.

Don't forget the part where it caused a lot of player's computer to "blow up" to the point a lot of people could not play because their computer could not handle that level of graphics even at the lowest quality setting![]()

The physics wasn't the problem. The issues were terrible coding/poor infrastructure/terrible MMORPG design where everything was server based (yes, even opening your menus). Apparently this was due to the fact they outsourced the coding with little time to make changes before release. The performance issues were due to poor optimisation and the fact that everything had far too many polygons. The renderer wasn't great and there was just too much. The physics were only an issue when it came down to the way movement was implemented (i.e there was a noticeable segment between standing still and moving). This can easily be avoided while still improving the quality of animations.

It wasn't the physics that hindered game play..it was the server check lag. How the crystal engine had this thing where..you could not do an action until the previous one was checked and approved by the server.
But umm...that aside, yeah I would love more character options. I hope we can make half races or something..I want to be an elf, but the elves in this game are so awkward..I'd like to make one like Hilda.

Given that the butt slider and such were among of the least of the graphic load concerns on a more poorly optomized game that still ran fine on PS3...
Cheaper PCs are in no place to be held back by the PS4 yet. Maybe when games have been in production for the console thereafter will it start to feel like the new crutch.
Yeah PC MMO's have been shown to be very unsuccessful. The only successful MMO's are on consoles. It is known.

No. Remember we now need a PS5 XD.

I hope so.
With them ditching PS3 support and increasing the minimum PC specs and improving servers, hopefully this means that they'll be able to do more character customization.
