It's very interesting to me what with the 4.0 trailer, that Yda's age is not defined.
Also, Yda (and her sister) are possibly 2 of only 3 Ala Mhigans with blue eyes. Especially blondeish blue eyes.

Regarding the topic of Light derived voidsent that was discussed a while back. I don't think a void of light would just be nothingness, but I think it would be warped to the aspects of perfection and stuff like that. I think a great example actually and what I hope one would look like is "Sea" from XI. The Aerns specifically look like malevolent angels and all the other mobs there have weird alien forms.

If I remember right, all of the former Circle members know a special magic that causes them to stop aging. They use their "deep knowledge of the world" to essentially retain their youth indefinitely (which conveniently stops SE from having to make new character models for them). One part that gave me a double take is the section where it says 'The hands of time ever stopped at 20 and 3' makes it sound like Y'shtola doesn't age anymore.
I am also curious about Yda's actual age. She arrived as a refugee in Shalayan 20 years prior after having travelled their from Ala Mhigo. Since it seems to imply she was old enough to forage, she would have to be around 30 at least.
Thancred can't do that anymore, which is why he's looking closer to his actual age after his trip through the lifestream.
At its logical extreme, the only thing that is perfect is nothing. "Pure white perfection" and how the term "erase[d]" is always used to describe what becomes of a world subjected to a Flood of Light implies it's closer to this:Regarding the topic of Light derived voidsent that was discussed a while back. Minus the eldritch abominations, maybe.
... until there is nothing left. Nothingness is difficult to grasp the concept of, but that's what it sounds like to me. Al'Taieu may appear to be heavenly or "perfect," but it still exists. Not so much with what's left after a Flood of Light.

It seems like a lot of the Job histories are redundant with what is explained in game, which is kind of disappointing, but the lore behind the equipment and the various job's techniques more than makes up for it. Particularly the explanations behind the Limit Breaks. The fact that monks temporarily ascend to godhood to punch an enemy so hard they explode is pretty fantastic.
White mage lore:

They tend to be pretty vague on how White Magic was abused.

does the lore book say anything about Classes (instead of Jobs)?

Ish. The classes of Eorzea are mostly about the weapon utilized and how contemporary cultures use them. Therefore you find a chunk of class lore dispersed through mentions of the guilds, for example. The jobs, by contrast, are unique manifestations of an entire culture around that discipline; they get their own two-page spread.
The adventurers of today often turn to the highly-developed "Jobs of Eld" because of the severity of the threats to the realm, but most people still just have basic "class" (weapons) training.

While I personally prefer the notion that a light-flooded world would be utterly sterile and barren (Because life is messy and ever-changing), I do wonder if the light equivalent of a Voidsent might not be something along the lines of Kuribu?
She appears to be a living statue - meaning her very flesh is inert and unchanging. She uses light-based magics, including spells which are typically used to heal but are perverted in her hands into attacks. She may also be intended as a foil to Diabolos, given that they are the final bosses of different versions of the same place.
Also, I propose the term 'Heavensent' as a light-aspected counterpart to 'Voidsent', at least until we get something more official.
Someone talking about the lore book mentioned the explanation for why dark knights use greatswords. Can anyone with the lore book post that here by chance?
