every quest should be a QUEST, but sinces everything will be instanced its kill this happening and we get kill 10 mobs return or kill boss return to queue then sit in town till party finder throws you in a instance.
I remember YoshiP saying in one of the interviews, that after 2.0, when someone summons a primal, everyone in the server will know it, so maybe that's exactly what's going to happen.
What they really have to do though is make the patcher more flexible, host patches for manual download and for the love of the Twelve add a filechecker. Most random crashes people are having is caused by corrupt files and people have no way of testing it except for full reinstall, risking to get completely different files corrupted.

1) I consider myself a casual player of this game. I haven't logged on for more than a week or so, simply due to having no drive to do so. If I wanted, I could get all of these quests in my bag done in under two hours, including travel. There will be no grinding for hours, nor has there ever been in terms of quests. Again, choice isn't going to do anything that will save the system.Quest with choice is merely an example of quests done differently, which i experienced in another game. The point was that quests are an important part of an MMORPG and we do need them in order to attract the masses. The casuals won't be content with camping the same spot for hours grinding the same monsters over and over.
Quest can be done in many interesting ways and i understand that the current quests were just a mean to put in some content quickly but if the quests in 2.0 are anything like these then it is really bad news. You says that you didn't say quest are meaningless but you said and i quote "I don't see why they would put this effort into something that people do for a quick cash grab." That kind of thinking is what will prevent this game from innovating and bringing us a great game.
2)quests will be different, Yoshida himself said this. Whether or not he'll keep this promise is unsure, but it's certainly not on the top of the list. I'm all for a change in quests. I just don't want the TOR route. I want this game to be nothing like TOR. Play that game for the quests, play this game for whatever reason you're playing it.
Since when does "instanced dungeons" equate to instanced quests? Did I miss something?
