It was a little hard to get hype when everything was teased as hard as it was.

Oh, the response was fine. They had plenty of screams. Of course it'll get quiet when they didn't officially announce a job. Anyone who expected otherwise has only themselves to blame. They did the exact same last Fanfest. People who attended, did so for all of the activities as well as the announcements.
But didnt they announce and show ingame footage of the Au Ra during the first FanFest? I reckon if they showed ingame footage of one of the classes or a new race (one can only hope), then we would see more hype.Oh, the response was fine. They had plenty of screams. They were also very silent, when Yoshida hinted that in 4.0 we have to start a new Relic quest (obvious, but still one can understand why some are not happy about it.)

And this time they showed in-game footage of areas we'll explore, which did get a massive pop. The hype was certainly there. You're always going to get lulls though when announcing things.

That is not true : EU Fanfest was the second one, one week after Las Vegas.
Las Vegas had the Batman t-shirt. EU Fanfest confirmed DRK and then showed the James Bond t-shirt.

People were booing and quite displeased when he said that aether currents were going to be required again. I certainly would have been booing also if I were there!
Was complete dead silence with 'Eureka', literally shows you how much love Diadem type maps are getting XD. Wasn't until the thought of Relic's tied to this place and NM's on a 72 hour timer did some give a bit of glee.

I loved exploring for Aethercurrents in Heavensward myself. Looking forward to hunting for them again in 4.0.
