Something I still want to rage at Microsoft about! That's driving me insane that MS, despite being the ones way behind Sony PS4... are still being stubborn gits about this. It doesn't work for some games... you've said yourself MS you want FFXIV on Xbox One... so make these darn concessions (which are necessary because it's an MMORPG) and let's get on with the show.

Microsoft insists that all online games use an Xbox Live account, which in itself is a subscription service. They also (apparently) want to have servers made only for Xbox players since they don't like the idea of A) having an online game without any online fees and B) having to share players and servers with Playstation players.

It's a bit more deep then that, Xbox wanted exclusive servers for Xbox plus the option for shared servers. Aside from having to pay for live, there is no way SE would have made this for Xbox knowing they'd have to make separate servers.

Former ps3 player here currently on ps4, I switched during the last upgrade for free. RIP ps3 and out of all of my friends that play on playstation only 2 still on ps3. The numbers just can't be there for ps3 anymore plus the game is so much better on ps4. Like few on here stated you have plenty of time to save up for ps4.

Did the same and instantly was impressed wish i had done it sooner tho lol no more 4 hr loadtimes locking you out of boss fights xD
