All Saints' Wake Reward

So, the All Saints' Wake event was just announced for this year, and the reward for it is a Vampire's Vest that also happens to be dyeable. Could this be some indication that vampires exist in FFXIV? Also, that Au Ra in the splash image seems to have some noticeably large canines...

I dont see why vampires couldnt be some sort of void-sent? Doesnt "absorbing someones aether" already exists as some kind of "mechanic"? (My knowledge of vampires is limited but afaik the "common" reason for drinking blood is to absorb the life froce of a living being, so sucking out someones aether could/would work kinda the same way) - you might wanna ask this question again in the lore-section though!

Also, keep in mind that those seasonal events are always a bit off the record and dont have to fit the lore 100%

every year it gets worse when it comes to event rewards, if even someone bothered to hold the events at all. Don't get me wrong, loved the last years reward but not because it was so creative, I was just happy it wasn't the same old re colored gear/mounts and fireworks. Not surprised that this year is going to suck again lol

I definitely liked last years rewards better. However, I don't think this is the worst event offering ever. It's just kinda okay.
