    Soundtrack Avalability

XIV's background music is amazing - that goes without saying. So of course I went to grab the soundtrack; unfortunately it's a blu-ray CD from the SE store, and I'm not going to shell out for a blu-ray reader just for that one thing. Oh well, that's my problem.

Imagine my delight when I find out that the ARR and Heavensward soundtracks are on iTunes!... and my disappointment when I discover they aren't available in the Australian store.
("Would you like to view the US store?" No, iTunes, that does not help me.)
Forgive my short rant, but I've come across that restriction a damn sight more than any reason would grant a right to occur, and it's really shitting me.

Does anyone know why music on iTunes can be country-restricted? And could someone at Square please go about lifting it, if possible?

That's typical of online streaming/download services like iTunes though - licensing of music might differ between regions so they restrict purchases for it being made in areas they have not yet licensed the content too (I presume for some reason, FF OSTs and albums are not licensed for sale in Australia). My advice would be to forget trying to get the OSTs there and go for the physical Bluray/CD OST albums, which you can buy online from either SE's own store or a third party store (this one is where I get my soundtracks from for example).

That sight you suggested is still Blu Ray discs which the OP cannot play as they don't have a Blu Ray player. The physical soundtracks are on Blu Ray only.
