I've actually been working on several Rath's variants lately as well, to try and find one that is definitively better than the default one. I'm just going to dump them all here in case someone finds them useful. You'll notice they all have an extra CZ in the flawless synth phase which is something I'm experimenting with, that extra 14cp opens up some interesting possibilities. This is only possible because the flawless synth phase in 4* recipes are so long - so these are only applicable to 4* crafting.

12 touches - This one is similar to your idea of using PbP. If you use a 3rd PbP + 1 CSII to complete the craft like in yours (2 actions), you gain 10 durability compared to someone who needs 3 unbuffed CSIIs to complete it (default Raths) which potentially can be an additional touch and thus more quality. This is basically the same idea, except instead of paying 15cp for that PbP to save one step, it's paying 32cp to complete it in 2 CSIIs and buff the Bryegots as well.

12 touches - Basically thinking that if a 15cp PbP does the same job as a 32cp Ing2 in cutting down one step, why not go with the former and find a better use for the leftover 17cp? This one as you can see is still unfinished as I'm trying to work Innovation into it - I need to stall for one turn for CZ as you can see, in order to have enough cp to use Bryegots, if anyone finds a solution I'll be glad to hear it.

14 touches (2 outside SH) - This one probably looks the closest to default Raths, except I went in the opposite direction and instead of trying to complete the item in less synthesis actions to gain more touches, I added an extra Waste Not to just outright gain more durability.

The default Rath's rotation for comparison is a 12 touch rotation (1 outside SH), with the option to additionally use Innovation/Ing2 to buff Bryegots if you're working with max cp levels - to be fair. Although in practice I consider it more of a 11 touch rotation really - if you have 1005~craftsmanship or less, failing even a single flawless synth in the starting phase will mean you need 3 CSIIs to complete which means only 11 hasty touches.

Also, here is my data on how much Bryegots hits for in different conditions, just for reference for anyone wanting to evaluate the effectiveness of these skills. I had 961 control when I recorded this.
