Thread: How easy are the 2.0 relic quests now in 3.4?

For glamour purposes only, I want to get the Kaiser Knuckles Zeta for my MNK for when I get bored of these awesome Hellish Claws. I only did the quest on my NIN but finished in 2.5. Have they been nerfed again at all? How long should I expect it to take from start to finish?

I'm not liking the 3.0 relics at all for MNK so it'd be cool to glamour it!

Well, the getting up to your Atma weapon should be relatively painless. Books will still be tedious, but unsynced dungeons runs ought to alleviate that a bit. Alexandrites are really easy to get (5 per map, at 50 Poetics per map, I believe). Lights are...well, they've always been a pain. The actual Zodiac step is much easier, what with 100% chance dungeon drops, and the crafted mats are pretty easy to make with a level 60 crafter. Then the Zeta step is still just a shorter Light step.

Basically, I don't know how much time you have to devote to the game, but I'd probably say a month is the maximum time to get it done if you only have a couple hours a day and complete it casually. Maybe a couple weeks if you really grind out everything.

I've done an entire relic from the atma step in about a week before. It's all about efficiency. If you've done a previous zeta, it makes it much easier, because you can do the later dungeon spam/tome & crafted item turn in step while doing the books and light farming. If a fate for the book is not up, teleport somewhere else and get the some other mobs in your book and check back after those mobs are dead. Other than that, it's pretty straight forward.
