Crazy yet somewhat plausible theories... Thread

While reading through the Encyclopedia Eorzea, a couple things came together with things we've seen in-game and this crazy theory popped in my head.

Unukalhai is a former Warrior of Light.

Specifically the Warrior of Light from the 13th world, the one that fell to the Ascian plotting too quickly and was thus transformed into the void, with the World of Darkness as its precipice.

Seems to cleanly place Unukalhai on the same world that would become the void, does it not?

I like that idea, particularly as the constellation Unukalhai is in is sometimes considered the 13th zodiac sign.

My personal crazy theory is that The Twelve (referenced as deities) are the 12 other worlds. Just as Hydaelyn is the spirit of the source, each of the other worlds has a 'living soul' and those are The Twelve.

I've tossed around a similar idea in the past, but never believed it enough to do anything with it, lol. I can almost kind of make it work if I assume the worlds are 12 + Light + Dark, whereby I guess The Thirteenth (Void) would be Darkness and the Source would be Light. This also helps fit it in with the Seven Heavens and the Seven Hells. However, I have a harder time making it work when you take into account that Eorzeans believe that the gods are actually only in SIX of them, and the hells were just created as a biproduct. Though the void does work as a source for the Black Warden, though we've repeatedly been told that the concepts of the void and the hells are meant to be different.

I have it on the list of possibilities that I've thought of but never fleshed out ><
