Tbh, lore kinda falls into your lap atm. I don't think a day goes by that I can't get 1000 lore without even really trying. My biggest problem is getting groups to clear Weeping for the penny. XD

That was because those were signature armor pieces. Each one mint for 1 job. The lore armor can be shared among other jobs.
They flipped it around this time, rather than reducing the cost, they've made lore come faster than before. honestly, I haven't gotten any gear but I"ve been getting so much lore I"ve had to spend it on materials which I nearly have a stack of 3 different types.

That's very true.
Yet Law gear also had reduced costs for gear and they were not signature armor pieces. They were shared with other jobs. In 2.0, Philo tome gear shared also, but had the 825 body/pants, 495 gloves/shoes/headpiece, 375 accessories.
Then again, trying to make sense of what SE does is like trying to figure out what to have for dinner tonight.
