Guest access - additional granularity request

Hello,

I would very much like the ability to place greater filters on guest access than the current two settings, which are "everyone always" or "nobody ever except me".

Any of the following filters, especially if allowed to be used in combination with each other:

• allow everyone (filter already exists; would override all others)
• allow characters in the same Free Company as me
• allow characters on my Friends' List
• allow characters within Friends List Group 1 (etc.)
• allow characters within Linkshell 1 (etc.)
• allow characters on the same Service Account as this one
• do not allow characters who have been placed on my Blacklist
• do not allow anyone except me (filter already exists; would override all others)

...would be very useful in terms of providing greater control over guest access for estate owners. This would, I believe, remain the case even if the additional filters were only active when the estate owner was online (leaving the system defaulted to "allow none" while the owner was offline unless "allow all" was specifically activated).

I only own a Private Chamber and an Apartment, and therefore cannot do things like list certain friends as Tenants; I must instead allow Guest Access and then revoke it behind them every time they want to come inside. Even any single one of the above filter options would make the Guest Access system more convenient for my use.

The above options would also be useful for people trying to run roleplaying events without fear of being gatecrashed (they don't have to sit someone outside their door to open it every time a legitimate attendee comes by), people who wish to enjoy their estate with their friends while avoiding harasser(s), people who wish to offer their estate as a meeting place for members of a certain Linkshell without having to open it to the public, and so on.

I'm aware it's likely that some of these filters would be impossible for technical reasons, but as I'm not a developer, I don't know which ones. I would be very happy with any single one of these options. The purpose of this thread is to state that greater choice in the Guest Access feature is something that I'm interested with, and provide some suggestions as to what shape that might take.

Good ideas! Personally I'm hoping they add at least a "Friend's Only" or "FC only" option at some point. A "No Blacklisted people" option would be wonderful as well. I'm unsure how difficult these would be to implement either because it depends on how they implemented this system in the first place, but a bit more customization is a great idea no matter the options.

So I take it someone has followed you into your house or you've caught them there and didn't want them staying? Just curious. I would like a log of people entering my home personally. I've never once caught someone in there but I'm always weary of someone catching me in theirs. FC members have.

That would be nice to have. I'd assume it might be a little more complicated to use the rules with FCs unless it only went with the FC leader's lists/linkshells/etc.
