Please add in-game books.

Dear SE, please add in-game books to the world. It would be lots of fun if we could find things like this laying around:

I think such books would be a great way to allow players to delve more deeply into the lore, and you could even give out Achievements for finding rare books, or reading every book in the game!

Even if the books aren't as long as the Elder Scrolls books, it would be nice to have some additional lore laying around at our finger tips, possibly discussing topics that NPCs wouldn't normally speak of.

I wouldn't want them as obtainable items, there's enough item glut as is.

I think a better solution is to make a workable inventory system. We shouldn't avoid adding cool things just because a system is broken. Rather, we should fix the broken system so that cool things can be added.

Already exist in the game. Go to the conjurer's guild or to Mutamix's camp.

I do agree that we could use more though.

I would want them less as something we can carry around (unless they go into a journal like area that can be reviewed at anytime without inventory clutter) and more like books lying around.

Sadly and unfortunately, we live in a tl;dr era. Now if there were video-books ppl would watch them...lol

Huh.. there's one at the Conjurer's guild? I know there's one at the Thaumaturge guild on the counter you can read that talks about Eras and Elements.

Except the video I posted is from Skyrim, a game that's even newer than FFXIV. >_>
