Turns out the one year anniversary happens to be the release of Shirogane (Savage)! It feels hard to believe that this thread is gonna be a year old in a few days and yet the situation hasn't changed. I know some things take time, but with the addition of the troupe stage, they should've already realize that the tabletop attribute was becoming a necessity for a lot more items. I'll keep hoping that we might get the surprise announcement one day...
We've had a lot of improvements (wallpaper partitions etc) with 4.1 so kudos to the devs for that. But please, don't forget about this one! I'd love to have essentially all items (or all non table items) be given the option to use as tabletop items... but if that's not possible at least make an exception for the troupe stage and round stage so items like lights, curtains, and instruments can be placed on them. Almost everything that we would want to do on a stage needs items!
Yet another shameless bump, SE please consider this humble request! >_<
It looks like they might finally be taking steps in the right direction. They made the upcoming Pumpkin Tower a tabletop furnishing, despite showing it on the ground in all the promo pics. Maybe they're finally starting to learn that every single furnishing should be a tabletop furnishing.
It pains me to say this since you appear to be supportive of the idea, but tabletop item has been able to be place on the floor since long ago >_<It looks like they might finally be taking steps in the right direction. But yes, SE please consider granting all non-table/wall-mount indoor furniture the tabletop attribute~ TwT
I know. All I'm saying is they seem to be making more furnishings that would previously just be a "Furnishing" a "Tabletop" item instead. In the past, those pumpkins would have been made as a regular Furnishing, instead of Tabletop, and I'm glad to see SE is moving in that direction. What would be ideal, would be if they got rid of the default "Furnishing" label all together, and made them all Tabletop.
Here's hoping~ T-TI know. All I'm saying is they seem to be making more furnishings that would previously just be a "Furnishing" a "Tabletop" item instead. Yet another shameless bump~ with 4.2 housing changes, hopefully this will become a thing (however unlikely it might be >_<)
If they do get to tinker with the stages, would it be asking too much of SE to add some props to build a Noh theatre? The traditional tree background, the house roof thing and we'd be quite good to start :V
I mean, we do know Noh is a thing in Othard since Kugane Castle has one...
It's really sad that I still can't put a desk and chair on a platform. But it's also not surprising. ffxiv is lazy as hell when it comes to housing functional details. /sigh
