It would make the Hildibrand quests even better.

They would have to be careful to get it right if they did. Giving characters of that kind a voice is something that has to be very carefully.
With the English voices, I agree. I am not too fond of the English voices in FFXIV, which is why I switch to Japanese. I like the Japanese voices in FFXIV. Some distinct voices I've heard from other games and anime. They wouldn't go wrong with their Japanese voice selection for that.

I have to admit, I have my own imagining of what their voices sound like. It might be a bit weird if we got voice acting and they were drastically different.
Hildibrand Helidor Maximillian Manderville!!!! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xny7oJBDb1g its just a redub but I find it hilarious![]()
I can't unhear Hildibrand in my head as Gaston.
And now you can't, either.
* The sad thing is that FFXIV turned RDM into a turret, and people think that's what it's supposed to be. It's supposed to combine sword and magic into something more, not spend the bulk of gameplay spamming spells and jump into melee for only 3 GCDs before scurrying back to the back line like good little casters.
* Design ideas:
Red Mage - COMPLETE (https://tinyurl.com/y6tsbnjh), Chemist - Second Pass (https://tinyurl.com/ssuog88), Thief - First Pass (https://tinyurl.com/vdjpkoa), Rune Fencer - First Pass (https://tinyurl.com/y3fomdp2)
I actually don't think it would work out that great with them. I have no actual conception of how Hildi would sound, and i feel it's better left silent, as not to ruin it. The sound effects they add to movement and different scenarios work much better than any voice would anyway.

I can't think of a single person who could properly voice any of the Mandervilles or Nashu...
The other regular people involved in the quests would be more easy to voice, but just voicing them would be rather silly...
