Peaceful debate: Does the community complain too much?

I would like to know in your opinion, if the community does too much complaining. I have noticed a recent overgrowth in negativity, and I'm simply concerned. Is it because we're bored of heavensward, tired of snow, the games age, entitled, or whatever. I am curious. Just please be peaceful, this thread was not meant to start an argument. Remember that debates are about the exchange of knowledge, and not winning.

For the most part, I only come to the forums when I'm waiting for a Zeta FATE to pop or am stuck in DPS queues.

I have to agree that this was very well said. I hadn't thought about it this way. I guess you could say this is true for all of the Internet.

Based on this statement, assuming people who are content don't voice, and people who is not content will voice. The the next question to ask is has the amount of complaints increased? And are the complaints justified?

This community seems fairly tame to me, it's quite nice. Lots of threads praising the game and other various non-complaining topics here and there.
But then again the only other communities I've ever been involved with were WoW and WoT (World of Tanks) so I probably don't have the best pool from which to make comparisons.

I think complaining in general is not a bad thing at all. If we don't say what we are unhappy with, there will be no reason for the devs to change/implement it.

Of course, there are many ways this feedback can be given.
I can complain like this: "SE, why are we STILL not able to repair all gear at once without the pointless sub-categories?"
or I can go "OMG this game it total sh*t, I can't even repair my stuff with one click, everything sucks, if you don't fix this next patch I'm leaving and everyone who disagrees with me is just whiteknighting!"

Personally, I feel like the second version has become more common in recent months, although it definitely was worse before 3.4.
But I am totally not against complaining in general, because MMOs improve through player complaints.
