Please don't lockout roles from important story plots in upcoming content

A little rant about A12. I try to not spoiler to much.

Not long after the ultimate attack, the boss will open 4 portals, where usually 4 damage dealers or 3 damage dealers and the offtank do enter.

What you do and what you see there is an important plot belonging to the cutscene before that fight.

But the way the battle is designed, most tanks and nearly every healer will never see this piece of lore.

It would be nice, if in the future these little phases could get designed in a way, that the entire party can participate. In that little part it would generally make more sense, if the boss would teleport away and back from the battle arena.

It's not a lock by any means and that phase can be solo healed ,so if one of the healers really wants he can go and let one of the dps on the boss. But that means that the healer has to make enough damage and not look at the add and laugh. And by saying it's not locked, i tried it on sch.

As an Offtank I've seen it many time. 3 times. Because CRAPPY DPS can't AVOID AOE AND DIE...

This includes my hubby.
1st time I won a12. it was with 7 because one DPS died pre adds and never took his Raise just AFK. Dropped ended up having to time out. So ya. I entered as off tank.

Also the game is setup so that people can play many different classes. And as people get over geared for the content. I could see. 2 DPS going in. so the boss can be burned down faster.

Good thing this game doesn't lock you into a single job, so if you want to experience this in the proper way, you could always switch to a DPS or tank.

(Or as cougarel suggested, go in as a healer and kill the add in cleric stance)

I'm pretty shure, there is a huge amount of players with only one job at lvl 60.

If these people are healer or always MT and don't have the idea, there could be something interesting to see inside the portal, they will never enter.

*Cough* i have all my jobs at 60 >_>. But anyways i tanked it and i went into. the reason why i had to go in to it because one of the dps died before that phase so as the ot i jumped right into it

the point is it is designed that not everyone can enter it. so only half of the party can see this part of lore.

plus you can't rely on dead DDs to see the whole story telling...

sure, i start lvling a whole new class, a whole new role from 1 to 60, gear them up and learn how to play them just to see a part of the story i don't even know it exists if nobody tells me (spoiler) about it...

If it were designed in such a way that it'd be completely exclusive to dps jobs, you wouldn't have been able to enter it. Luckily, every job can enter it, so everyone can experience it.

What's wrong with trying out something new? It's not like leveling takes ages, since you get 100% more exp up to 50, and 50% more exp on 50-60.

Besides, it'd still be possible to miss what's going on in that phase. I know I did, when I entered one of the portals for the first time. (Mostly because I was too focused on not messing up)

i have nothing said about jobs. i have said only the half party can enter it. only 4 of the 8 people in the party can experience the whole story, regardless of their job. but of course the DDs are prefered to enter it and one tank and one healer have to stay outside.

i don't have to try out DD classes. i have played them in offline games for years. this is an online game. here i can play a different role. why should i waste my time with playing a DD class? the only reason i have bought this game is because i wanted to play as a healer. if i stop playing healer, i'll stop playing this game.

But it's not. As other and you yourself have noted you've already viewed this section while doing it "against the way it was designed" within a very short time of the content being added. Doesn't sound like anything is "Locked" at all.

PS The game is designed based on the idea that more people than not will be playing more than one roll.
