Fatal DirectX Error (1000) on Alt+Tab

Like the post says.. I've got a new laptop that was purchased for my birthday (it was delivered and began playing with it on the 28th!) that is well-above the specs needed to run the game.

When I got it, it was working perfectly fine. Then starting a day or two ago, I began to get this error on alt+tab. I run in Borderless Window, DX11, but changing it to Fullscreen and DX9 did nothing. It will crash all on its own.

I tried looking up solutions but everything is a year+ and/or just didn't work. All my drivers are updated, Windows is updated (I run Windows 10), and reinstalling the game did nothing. I'm at my wit's end here and it's such an annoying problem to be having. Does anyone have any suggestion as to what I can do? Again, this only started happening around when the hotfix for 3.4 was being put out. It's very odd.

I've also been having a spat of Direct X related crashes since the patch. I reverted by to running the game on DX9, so I hope that helps. I've had three just this morning.

Unfortunately, it persisted even when I switched to DX9 so that's not a fix for me.. I know it's not my graphics card either because I updated the drivers on it entirely. GEForce Experience is giving me no other update options. I honestly think this happened when Windows updated but it's just such a weird problem to be having and very frustrating. ):
