Cutscene option

i think it would be great to be able to go back and watch the story quest cutscenes again, and it would seem like a good idea since alot of people would play a FF game for the story.

for the cutscene option they could use a list and have them be like

?????????

cutscene 3
?????????


with more unlocking as you see them

as for how it would know what models and companion to use, after selecting a cutscene it could take you to the character selection screen and you would choose the character you want to see in there.

it would also load your characters companion for the other role of the scene

I support this idea. However, I think they'll probably go the FFXI rout and place an NPC in-game that we can interact with and view past cut scenes. I do like the idea of having it in the menu though.

Yes please!!! I would love that so much, I'm already kicking myself for not having frapped every cutscene I've seen so far. I don't care how it's done as long as it's possible.

if you dont have fraps ready to record the cutscene for the level 46 quest, i will kill you cause i had it all set up but was too amazed and forgot to record it lol

I believe they've already mentioned they want a way to implement this in-game (After 2.0 though due to the massive area changes that would be involved). Though, there may be some difficulty due to the fact that, unlike FFXI, a lot of quest content is gotten through discussion with NPCs inside of instances.

What I see them doing is basically allowing you to use the echo on yourself, and "re-live" a section of a quest.

I also 100% support your idea! I want this also. I would love to re watch some of the CS over again! They would deff need to make so your char is in the CS tho. I also was unable to fraps all of them and it makes me sad!

I want to see SO many cutscenes again! THIS is a must for this game, and i'd be fine with them implementing this before 2.0 even if 2.0 gets delayed.

It talks about an option to have a button in the menu to watch the old Cutscenes. It also has a little mockup I've placed there as a little idea =)
