Far Eastern Attire - XP Bonus Query

Ok, so I'm considering getting the far eastern attire, however it'll only be of use to me if I can use the XP boost on gatherers and crafters. Does anyone know if this is possible? The reason it requires this is because I do go through a fair bit of fantasia (usually swapping between male Roe and female Au Ra nowadays), and you can't change the item to the other gender if you fantasia.

As I'm sure you are well aware, it takes more than one person to be able to kick a player from a duty, so in all those instances there were at least two people agreeing they'd be better off without you tanking.

I'm not sure if it would work, but I don't know why you would bother trying. Crafting and Gathering leves give so much xp already and that gear would severely limit your ability to effectively do those tasks anyway.

It's also capped to lv 30.

I would be hoping to use this to save the leves for level 30 and beyond. If not using leves, would the lower Craftsmanship/Control be enough to make it not worth it, or are the bonuses minute enough that it would work out as more XP?

Meaning my Carpenter, Blacksmith, Armorer, Goldsmith, Alchemist, Culinarian, Miner, and Fisher, would all get to benefit from it if it did.

You can do from level 1 to 15-20ish just from crafting the first few sets of items that the guild shop supplies the mats for. You may need to just bang out a bunch of them but that is the very easy part of leveling. From there, leves are absolutely the way to go. And at level 20 and beyond, the Craftsmanship/Control are more valuable than the 30% xp simply because the overwhelming majority of xp you get are just leve rewards which the xp bonus would not apply to.

If the 30% xp bonus applies to anything, it would just be the actual synthesis xp.

Ah now ya see, I'm thinking of using this to skip leves to level 30. I do have a material supplier in my house though, would that be enough to bash my way up to 30 off shop mats alone?

Off-topic: I love how this thread has turned into strats on levelling crafters. As much as I rage on the forum sometimes, I love how helpful everyone is

The crafting log is a very viable way of leveling crafters up, using Leves as a supplement rather than a main exp source.

That said, I really do not expect that any 30% bonus is going to make much of a difference. When crafting, one of the things you want to do is add Quality. Quality added during the crafting (IE - this excludes Quality added from using HQ materials) adds to the exp bonus you get at the very end. Not counting Rested, Food, or anything else, that bonus can reach 300%, if you get to 100% Qualioty and use absolutely no HQ materials.

Take all crafting classes to 15 (unlikely to approach that 100% Quality, so the 30% bonus would help here, somewhat). That gets you a solid base of cross class skills. Make any gear you need, then start taking them higher. With level-appropriate HQ gear, and intelligent use of those cross class skills, starting in the lower-mid 20's you will be able to fairly reliably HQ any 70 or 80 Durability craft even with entirely NQ materials (a state that lasts up until you start trying 50+ or 50*'d recipes). 40 Durability recipes would be harder, of course.

Once you hit 15, I'd strongly consider dropping the exp bonus gear for gear with stats, simply because the exp bonus you'll get from adding Quality will far outstrip the exp bonus you get from that non-crafting gear. If, that is, you don't go for stat gear at level 5 (the level you can start adding that Quality).

And is this the same principle for the gatherer? Or is it of more use on my FSH and MIN (both under 30)? Also, all crafters are at least level 15. So yeah, sounds like a good place to start here. Thanks for all this help.
