Odd Pet Class Question...Potential Dev Request

So, without sounding like a complete noob (and playing summoner for a few months without really thinking about this a lot), I'm pretty sure we can't set separate pet actions to 'auto-cast' right? Its either sic, which makes the pet do all available actions to auto or obey, which switches all pet actions to manual control.

If that's the only case, can we please have the ability to set what we want to auto and manual? Its pretty common in many mmorpgs that have pet classes.

The pet's main ability will always auto attack, even if it's on obey. So they've already got the ability somewhat.

That said, it would be nice to let Garuda do everything on auto except for the knockback.

Well I say pet classes in general because honestly each pet has 1-2 moves you may want to control manually but still want it to do other things on auto, like Selene's Silence or Ifrit's stun (I know, people use ifrit?!?! Lies!).

People use Ifrit, he's pretty good in some fights.

You don't really want her auto-using Contagion either.

No one else wonders/cares about this little QoL adjustment?

I use Ifrit as a SMN when I feel lazy, because he can just sit on Sic and be as just about as effective as he can.

The only things I feel should have a toggle for SMN though is Garuda's Contagion, because she really loves to use it the moment any of your DoTs goes on the target, and possibly Ifrit's shield, because it going off against enemies that don't trigger it, or when they're doing long casts is a complete waste...
Ifrit's stun not so much as most bosses are stun immune anyways...

i got yelled at alot by a friend over the knockback, and so ive since strictly used ifrit, because i admit i am lazy as hell but also i feel like radiant shield is a great buff in general, he seems to stun a little more smartly than garuda does her knockback on auto. However the cost of this is loss of contagion, which auto garuda will never use properly ever anyway. The best way to play summoner is manual, but i just cant resist the aoe and burst for every day stuff like dungeons.

You can use Garuda on Obey and pretty much ignore her other abilities besides Contagion. The knockback and AoE aren't game-changing.

The one thing that bugs me about Ifrit is that he is melee so he has travel time to the target. If you're fighting multiple enemies and his target dies, he will scurry back to your side until you hit something else, and then he will float his way back to it your new target. Otherwise, you need to manually direct him. Garuda is a turret with good range, so it doesn't really affect her.

All that said, I prefer Ifrit's aesthetics and I wish he had an ability that was a better direct competition to Contagion and actually interacted with the Summoner.

That's kind of the point I'm trying to get at. You have games like WoW/Rift where you can set whichever pet skills you want to auto and then manual the rest if you want. It shouldn't be all auto or all manual and is something that can be easily adjusted imo.
