For about a month I did Ravana EX until I got good at it and knew every mechanic while I wiped with groups that had no clue or were new. For about 2 months I did the grind to get the 10 totems to get my wep since the drops were not in my favor and not every run ended in completion. I finally got my PLD weps and started grinding again to get the bow. I finally gave up after about a total of 4 months investing (not all) some of my limited time because I like the way the weps look. I eventually try again and finally get my Hive Bow. So thrilling, such a satisfying moment.....and then.....the new freakin patch comes out and.........you can just BUY them from the MB....WTH was all the grind about? it just seems to all be for nothing since now every Tom Dick and Harry with a couple mil can simply buy or have a friend craft the same items that took MONTHS to obtain.....IT HONESTLY SUCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!! Of course I was happy when the replicas came out but these are not even replicas they are the exact same weapons from Ravana extreme....what's the point!

Do it with friends that aren't terrible at the game? I mean, if I had to do the same primal for 4 months to get a glamour I'd probably kill myself.

For those weeks and months that others did not have them but you did, it gave you the edge. You earned those weeks and months of extra dps.

Did you even bother checking the iLV as well as the stats of the new MB versions?

They're i180, they're less effective than the actual non-glowing versions. They're literally there just for glamour.

And if you got them for glamour, then all you're missing out on is a really average-looking orange glow, honestly I prefer the way the older Ravana weapons look, the glow just looks out of place for me.

Plus they've done the exact same thing for 2.x primals with garuda, ifrit, titan and mog weapons being craftable using ex-only materials. Leviathan and shiva were the only primals who didn't get crafted versions of their weapons.

Sad but true. Games always get easier to obtain anything, this game is just a bit faster at doing it than others. Its no different in say something like WoW where you used to have druids who hit cap in the current expansion go back and solo previous expansion dungeons/raids.

Ravana weapons came out June 2015... Re-released on September 27, 2016.. I think that's long enough. Even worse, they're i180 so obsolete anyway. Dunno what the problem is.

Most MMOs don't have a 3 month patch cycle either. Ravex was also pretty short lived due to how easy it was to get the tome weapon back on 3.0, you'd get the i180 law weapon, then you'd run ravex with the 180 weapon and upgrade to i190 while saving esoterics for your i200 upgrade which only took ~3 weeks to get back then.
Only ex primal that died faster than ravex was bismark as he was only required to unlock ravex for a short amount of time and only dropped i175 stuff.

Actually, if we're going to complain about gear dying, why not talk about bisex weapons? They literally died on arrival since law weapons were a joke to get.
