You can use your PS4 controller to play on PC (that's what I'm doing) IMHO it's the best setting, you can use X-hotbar with "PC" horizontal and Vertical bar as helper for cooldown visualisation (when they are in another Xhotbare than the active one) and other rarely used stuff (like invoking your chocobo to fight or some food) that you'll clic with the mouse.

There's some driver (DS4 Windows I think) that let you use the touch pad to add up to 7 shortcut (up,down,left,right swipe and up,left,right clic) you can even use the motion detection too !
