How good is your rig

My main machine is 7 and a half years old now, but most of it has been upgraded. The only original parts are the case, motherboard, processor and RAM.

Intel i7 920 (1st Generation!)
GTX 970
18 GB RAM
120 SSD (and 4x2TB drives)
Runs at about 60fps most of the time at 1920x1200 and I think it's probably my CPU that's the limiting factor.

My brother recently bought a 6th generation i7 which I'm rather jealous of, but I can't justify the spend while this one is still running so well!

Except near Rowena's place when "sometimes" it will dip to 50 fps for a few seconds, everything is buttery smooth with everything cranked up. My "bottleneck" really is my HDTV which I use as monitor (because the Home Theater is nice for the sound) because it's a few years old and obviously not 4K.

I usually upgrade parts of my PC every 3-4 years (the GPU every 2 years or so), and I'm approaching this mark, so will probably upgrade the CPU and motherboard this spring (and the RAM too because it won't be compatible).

I built my own PC. It's a bit of a franken-server at this point, but I like to grab good deals when I see them.

Processor: Intel i7 4770K
RAM: 32 GB DDR3 (super overkill, I know, but I got this for $50)
Video card: MSI GTX 770
Storage: 128 GB SSD, 1TB secondary platter drive, 2TB external USB backup

The rig itself is aging well, so I'm having the debate of doing a full rebuild vs just updating the graphics card. I keep an eye on the cost/power ratio at Passmark, and so far it hasn't been worth the cost to upgrade. The next thing due for replacement is that 1TB platter, as I've had some concerning behavior over the last few weeks. Everything is backed up though!

I am probably going to get a new laptop next year instead.

I run at a steady 50 FPS in most areas, only dropping in Idyllshire.

consistent 60fps except in areas with a lot of water as mentioned above, or once in a while with weather and lots of players. I'd like to upgrade but it's fully water cooled and I don't have the funds/ambition to justify an upgrade for the occational dip. Other things are just more important right now.

A lot of different builds going on then. I went to newegg.ca for most of my parts. Their delivery wasn't too great from my experience tho. I really wanted to get an ssd but I had already gone over my budget so I had to stick with hdd. I haven't tried it a whole bunch on my pc yet so the fps I have been getting were just a small part of the map. I'm hoping the extra 4gb of ram I get will help with the frame rate but I can't see that happening my self I think my processor isn't too good like i said it was a budget build lol

I've had this rig for over 5 years now. The only upgrade I did was gtx 680 -> gtx 980 -> gtx 980ti and the SSD.

I get 60-100 FPS everywhere on max settings.
