That sounds good too. Instead of purple text gear, you could get some company seals. I prefer that over manufactured gear.

HI! Could you please explain how you have any merit to complain in regards to the above quoted section from your original post? Have you ever crafted a Dodore Doublet for an entire LS before? Oh, I haven't either. But from my lowly high 30s leathercrafting experience, I know that it was one of the most tedious crafts out there. You need a leather jacket? Sure, let me do these 123543 pre-requisite synths first.I believe the game is heading in a terrible direction.
The crafting recipes have been simplified because novice players had a hard time? That's absurd. If they are novice, they will eventually learn. Why in the world did you make crafting so simple? On top of the simplicity, leveling has become extremely fast to the point where low level gear is useless. Now you have a simplified system that isn't needed anymore because people are hitting level 50 in no time, killing Ifrit in no time, and getting gear that far exceeds anything you can make; in no time.
I for one am terribly glad that is over.
I went through the process as well. Did you not feel a sense of accomplishment when you were done?
Compare it to now. You get 4 pieces of leather, some wool cloth and throw in an ingot.
They could have eased up on things like having to use a specific dye to make a piece of armor. That was the only thing I disliked. However, to me , the entire process made crafting feel extremely important and it made sure people stuck to their craft because they knew it was a long road ahead.
There is nothing wrong with the op making a thread like this, he has every right to his opinion regardless of what anyone else thinks.
I agree with some points but not all.
I do agree about 11 and crafting being on par with some of the nm drops. and tbh I miss that.
I would love to see guild marks be used to purchase green and blue quality patterns for each gear-making craft. Materials for such patterns should be hard (but not impossible) to obtain and definately sellable so that ppl can choose to fight for em or buy em IF they willing to dish it out )
Slowing down levelling I dont agree with. I had almost all jobs to 75 in 11 (didnt stay for level cap increase) but it was a tad daunting to lv in 11, I must admit (just in my opinion), I kind of like reaching a cap a bit faster.
But i do agree more can be added for lower/mid level. you mentioned COP, omg you know i never had help with the ship battle except from 3 friends...we never did make it past that point, but we had a blast trying..and trying...and trying lol the entire cop quest chain was wonderful. I also enjoyed the addition of the "past" versions of all zones and campaigns. nothing 14 has atm even draws near to the fun i had doing those......yet ^^
I agree in time more things like this, for the sole purpose of opening entire zones, should be considered. I think the game is a bit new for that but I hope in time things similar to cop. (i realize the game has been out long enough but so so much was a mess its almost like the clean up is still in progress so I do give SE credit for the improvements they are currently working towards)
For those of us that truly loved 11, we compare it so much to this one (whether we admit it or not) and in an attempt to bring back some of that new "oh cool!! feeling" we had in 11 we nit pick this one in the hope....yes the hope that it will rekindle the same feelings we had there.
I think if anyone can make this game do that, the new team can. It wasnt necessarily the "difficulty or grinds" that made 11 great for me, it was simpler then that. It felt like a fantasy world, it looked like a fantasy world. to stop and stare at the oddest structures in the middle of a seemingly normal meadow...to have boss fight music that turned my stomach to butterflies before each fight and can still make me go eeek to this day...to see mysterious skies and glowing crystals in the depths of caves., to summon the most precious glowing blue rat/dog, carby was #1,
that was the lure, thats what made it fun and alluring to me. Give us back the Fantasy with a healthy mix of casual/hardcore and we will have a winning combo.
They do have the talent, they do have the imagination, they do know what made 11 great and tbh I dont think they are too stubborn not to grab the good from it and revamp things to suit this game. They simply need more time.
Oops i forgot. I prefer a simple material recipe, I didnt enjoy needing 4 jobs and 3 hrs to make 1 shepskin harness no ;;
i respect your opinion, but i really do like fewer mats better ....i just do.

To each their own. I understand how frustrating it can be for some people.
Hey why don't you do a poll on whether players prefer the old recipe grinds. The results might change "how frustrating it can be for some people" into "for most people."
