Adventurer Squadrons are missed opportunity

Just imagine that instead of generic bland 'missions' we could send them in real dungeons of appropriate level and they could bring back it's loot for alts or glamour. And at lv.50/60 we could send them to at least ARR primals/raids, or to HW primals with less success rate so they could bring their glamour once per day.

In this case they at least could be remotely useful, but right now they are worse than retainers who could bring various items from ventures (including random dungeon drops) with much less effort.

Supposedly Adventurer Squadrons are just at the beginning stages and not really finished yet. Yoshi says we'll be able to take them into dungeons soon. And who knows what kinds of missions they'll add in a later patch. As for sending them in to fight Primals!? Unless they all manage to have the Echo that would be suicide!

New Grand Company Content - Squadrons
Grand Company squadrons will be introduced in Patch 3.4. This content will be a type of simulation game that can be enjoyed solo, and will involve assembling volunteers and creating your own squad. In later updates, we're thinking of adding content which you can enjoy by bringing your squadron to dungeons.

Got bored of the same excuse that they are adding the base which later sometime in the far future it may evolve into something interesting. If something is not ready do not implement it except if you want negative feedback. If it's not fun you are not doing it right. Squadrons is a silly filler content we didn't ask and we didn't need. We already had retainer venture and airship missions. We said the same about Diadem some months ago. It died on arrival and it's still lying dead. Squadrons are no different. SE needs to stop implementing half baked content.

Love when people say **we**. It might not be your thing but please don't speak for everyone. I will say I think it can be fun, my FC mates are enjoying it. You got to love the negativity on this forum when in game people just do the content and enjoy it. If you don't like it don't do it. And yes it's filler content because the game shouldn't be all about dungeons and killing stuff. The more variety the better because different people like different things. Gee paying 2000/5000/10,000 seals before for a promotion was so satisfying right?

Further development is planned so we'll have to see what they have in mind and just how satisfying it'll be.

It's like Wondrous Tales, according to this forum it sucks, yet in game wow are my free company members recruiting for all the duties they need to do to complete it. Party Finder is the same.

This thing underdelivered. I honestly feel little for these recruits, I cannot even dress them up proper or name my squad! and if that is the point then that is a stupid point to make.

What are you talking about. The thing the OP suggests isn't that much different from the Garrisons either. More to the point it does one of the greatest criticism garrisons had, that being that they did content for you rather than providing content for you to do.

This is a bad idea. This would lower the amount of people doing content. I guess if you want to click a few buttons and get loot I guess.
