to be honest, i had always assumed they confirmed this a couple years back with Shatotto being sighted in Eorzea who traveled here from Vana'diel.

But more specifically, I believe this does show a multitudes of Eorzeas since the cutscene post Antitower

Yeah we were explicitly told there's different universes last patch. What do you think "10 and 3, reflections of the source" means?

So would that also mean there is a Hydaelyn and Zodiarc in each universe (since the warrior of darkness mentioned the void being the product of darkness succeeding) or that Zodiarc and Hydaelyn are trying to claim as many worlds as they can win?

One Hydaelyn and one Zodiark. Originally Hydaelyn and Zodiark existed as two halves of a whole - a balance of Light and Dark - but Zodiark began trying to overtake Hydaelyn's Light, so Hydaelyn broke the Source into thirteen Reflections (read: worlds). The primary purpose of the Ascians is to cause thirteen Calamities (wherein one of the reflections of the Source is overtaken by the Dark, and the other Reflections feel this loss as a Calamity) in order to bring Zodiark back to full power, reunify the Reflections, and create one unified realm of Darkness.

From what I gather then, it seems like the Asians are trying to fix the universe by colliding them back together again?

This just full on reminds me of DC comics and their philosophies of the multiverse and what is good and what is bad.

Seems like a rather interesting direction this story is taking. But basically at the end of the day, no one wins because all existence is basically meant to disappear either to light or to darkness?

I suspect its actually more like 1 world broken into 14 different existences. Its a bit complicated. There doesn't seem to be anything that specifically suggests each reflection is an entirely different universe. Expect a lot of weird space/time distortion mumbo jumbo. We also cant be sure they are exact mirrors of each other. The different worlds or reflections could be very different. Hell we know the 13th certainly is. Its the Void.

Actually 7 of them have been destroyed and returned to the source so we are down to 6 + the source left. One of those 6 is the void leaving 5 and the WoD are from another leaving 4. Since the Ascians have been active on those worlds too its possible out of the remaining 4 some might not be in top shape. If one is were Unukalhai is from that would mean at least one of the 4 is basically a dead world. Its not beyond possibility that Midgardsormr is from another one of the reflections.

Technically its kind of Multiversal but only in the sense there is more than 1.

As for the outcome, that's still to be decided. Hydaelyn doesn't seem interested in complete dominance of the Light. She has been shown to care for the living. However she hasn't got great options. She is far from able to intercede however she wants, even if she had the strength and for that matter the whole situation is far from ideal. Its not like this was a great plan she came up with. It was an act of desperation to stop Zodiark, at least how she says it. Regardless, for life to exist as it is it requires at least some presence of both Light and Darkness.
