you had over a month to do it. If you didn't like it after a day. you could have stopped.

People in my FC did the hole event in 10 days. While keeping up with other things. The fact that people waiting till the last day to go ooo shit I want this and bitch that it took so much time. Where not wize about it.


My wife and I got the 30/30/30 ones 2nd. While outer. It took 2 days because the fates were up 100% of the time.

Congratz? But that doesn't make the event any less terrible with all the grinding, they can atleast be a bit more creative. Phantasy Star Online 2 got a whole boss fight for their collaboration with Final Fantasy XIV for something as good as Yokai Watch it could have been a bit more.

I'd say what made the event particularly awful wasn't just the RNG of the medal drop rate, but the fact that it also came with an INCREASE in required medals for every item you procured, making the grind requirement even worse the further you progressed.

It was malicious design at its best.

Yep. It would have been far more tolerable had you been able to turn in regular Yokai medals for legendary ones. Even at a 5:1 ratio or something, just to help mitigate the grind.

I opted to get all the minions, despite finding the majority of the designs painfully unappealing, and learned from the old demo that I'll never play the game. (It's way too much to do on the touch-screen, and I can foresee many depressed children from scratching theirs up just from normal play since so much is during the high stakes combat.)

Basically, it was a soulless grind for the sake of it, and I really don't know if I can get behind Nohi, who wanted the event his buddy was putting on for him to promote his games be as hard as possible. There was no reason for it!

It isn't like everyone knew all of the finer details of this event that made it a complete chore before going in. After all, that information about the grind-increase per prize wasn't put on the forefront in the event's advertisements.

That motto also sounds like the mantra of every scammer on the planet, too, so sorry, bud, I don't like it.

It was also completely optional.

Let me see if I can put this into perspective. While technically optional, for some people not finishing the yokai event was absolutely not an option as soon as they got on that long arduous road. For these people, not completing the event would just eat away at them like some kind of psychological cancer. Similar to what someone goes through when they don't finish a diploma, but unlike school, the event is done. There's no going back to finish what you started. Sometimes, people eliminate their own options.

Eventually, coming to terms happens and you move on, but until that happens it is a really nasty feeling to have.

Not only that the game gives us bad content but the community is also full of people defending it, like how people brag about how they can do Atma in a week for their main and their alt., and that it's everyone else's fault that they cannot do the same.
