Is the Anima 240 worth it now?

I think the Anima before that is still worth it from the glamour alone.

However, im not too sure about grinding out the sands on this one now I can simply buy a lance from the MB that has a better ilvl and stats. While I could tech make the anima better (only slightly) I'm wondering what you guys think?

I have not started the process of grinding sands so it's not like I'm halfway done or anything

By 3.45, which will be in around 6 weeks time, you will be able to upgrade it, I'm guessing an i260 weapon to keep it in line with the scriptures weapon. By the end of Heavensward, if it follows the same pattern as the Zodiac weapons, you will eventually be able to upgrade it to i275 so yeah, definitely worth upgrading.

Saying that they usually nerf the requirements so if you really aren't bothered right now, wait a few patches and it will be easier to grind out.

This is a class/job specific question. The question gets more complicated when you add in the question of whether or not you plan on an a12s clear. Some classes yes, some classes no. Then there's the argument of primary stats > secondary stats, and that's when I nope out.

It was never worth it. Even in a few weeks when the new step is added, you'll be able to get a Scripture weapon which will give you nearly identical dps to a min/max relic.

You will need the Anima 240 to get a stronger Anima in 3.45

I would only bother if you actually want to complete it. If its for stats don't bother. Weapon Damage is all that matters unless your getting into savage raiding.

How, exactly, it's not worth it? You are losing 1000 scripture worth of gear by not doing relic.

Or how about tome gear and a tome weapon? It's not like there isn't enough time to cap tomes for both.
