    So, about that parry...

    Gearing up a tank in 3.4 is difficult due to the heavy allocation of parry as a secondary/tertiary stat on the new gear tiers. It actually diminishes the value of overall input (which includes DPS) from a tank during a raid. Does anyone know the thought process behind why this happened? The Padjali Axe was somewhat of a warning siren for 3.4 and I still never saw this coming.

    SE is determined to make us believe parry is a relevant stat, I guess.

    I can't wait for all those Reprisal procs I can't use because it's on cooldown.

    Yeah, a GCD on a skill that requires RNG activation is always a mind boggler (regardless of class). Class balancing must be fun.

    Considering that they gave DRG a parry rate buff ability, it's pretty clear the thought process is: ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

    From what I've been gathering, just about everyone is having a difficult allocating gear (Especially BLM), so I don't think it's just tanks :3

    I think the overarching issue is the fact that a concept such as "dead stats" even EXISTS in this game. Things like accuracy and parry really need to be repurposed ASAP, IMO.

    For real, this so much this. I dont know why they just dont get rid of parry altogether. sucked before and they made it worse, used to sorta synergize with other stats, so they sucked it up even worse now they really just gotta force tanks to use it like were choosing wrong to avoid it, cause its like gonna make us parry those ohko moves or something, everytime. Its so so good

    Yeah, I mean, we wouldn't want Reprisal to be too competitive with Storm's Path, now would we? /sarcasm

    This is a bigger problem than just Parry. IMO there needs to be far better secondary stats in this game. Accuracy is annoying, parry is dead, det on healers is useless, everyone wants crits except BLM etc. Even just taking WoW's stats would be such a huge improvement.

    That said, another huge issue is the lack of choice of secondary stats. I don't want to have raid = crit/det, lore = det/sps (or whatever), I'd rather have them be random stats, so that I can keep farming for the combination I want in the content that I want.
