or you could quit complaining, be happy it exists and if it's not your tastes then buy a small plot when it opens up. Otherwise, join an FC for the perks of a stable, ships and rooms. SE isn't going to spoon feed you everything let alone on a silver spoon.

Also, can you please show a source of square saying they never meant apartments to be the solution to the housing problem?

I wish they were small house size too. Even if they priced them at a mil I think the larger amount of space for creativity would be worth it. I agree, making them small house size absolutely would not diminish the worth of a small plot in the least. Small lots still have a garden, outdoor modeling and as someone mentioned presence. Don't even try to argue that it doesn't matter.

If they increase the size of the apartments then they will increase the cost of getting one as well. Buying a room the size of a small house or close too it for 500k, will upset small personal house owners. So a price increase of a couple hundred thousand gil would not be out of line.

It doesn't even have to be double the space, just add an extra room half the size or something so we don't need to cram everything in one tiny space.

You need to learn that not all negative constructive feedback is rude. Especially when a client is providing feedback/first impressions of a product. It is infact an essential aspect of business.

SE is here to make money from an mmo market. There was an issue with their consumer base regarding housing and previously set expectations were not being met. Could SE have done nothing? To be honest, no. To do nothing would decrease the value of their product when compared to market competitors.

So they chose to implement the bare minimum solution. Their clients have noticed and are discussing that in this thread.

That people seem to think this is a temporary or interim solution to housing speaks volumes in itself.

The only people being rude are the people agressively white knighting SE - for what purpose who knows. No one gets extra cookies for it.

Personally don't even think that much space is needed.

I'd honestly be happy if they just added, say, a loft-space for the apartments. Raised the ceiling a bit, staircase off to one side, and half the space of the lower level or so available for use again.

This is what I had hoped for when they confirmed apartments.

i have a 4 room apartment, with a kitchen, bathroom, bedroom and a living room. and a small hallway to reach all that rooms ^^/ sooo... they are big enough, at least for a lalafell xD but 50 items is not enough. i can't place any decorations, flowers, and so on... D: the walls alone take up 10 item slots :x
